Վարձու մարդասպաններ եղել են բոլոր ժամանակներում: Նրանց վախճանը միշտ էլ անփառունակ է: 1991թվականին Էջմիածնի շրջանում կատարվածը նմանատիպ դեպքերից մեկն է:

Տաշքենդ քաղաքի բնակիչ, նախկինում դատապարտված, մի քանի հանցավոր արարքների կատարման համար հետախուզման մեջ գտնվող, ազգությամբ հայ Վիկտոր Գրիգորի Տանիևը 1991 թվականի մայիսին եկել էր Երևան:

Նա շուտով կապվել է գործով չբացահայտված անձանց հետ, ովքեր պատվիրել են, որ Վիկտորը 100 հազար ռուբլի վարձատրությամբ սպանի Էջմիածնի շրջանի բնակիչ Համլետ Ե.-ին:

Վիկտորը պատվիրատուներից վերցնելով գումարի մի մասը՝ նախ սկսել է «հող նախապատրաստել»՝ պատվերը կատարելու համար: Նա Երևանի ավտոկայանում, ինչպես նաև այլ վայրերում զբաղվել է մոլախաղերով, հանդես է եկել կեղծ անուններով, շփվել է մարդկանց հետ:

Այդպես նա ծանոթացել է Արմավիրի շրջանի բնակիչներ Մանուկի ու Տիգրանի հետ: Մտերմացել են, իրար հետ ռեստորաններ ու այլ վայրեր են գնացել:

Մի օր ռեստորանում Վիկտորը Մանուկին ու Տիգրանին պատմել է սպանություն կատարելու պատվեր ունենալու մասին: Նա ընկերակիցներին առաջարկել է օգնել իրեն՝ իր ստանալիք գումարի մի մասը նրանց տալու խոստումով:

Մանուկն ու Տիգրանը համաձայնել են: Ավելին, նրանք խոստացել են, որ Վիկտորին մեքենա կտրամադրեն և կուղեկցեն զոհի գյուղ, կսպասեն՝ սպանությունից հետո նրան այդ գյուղից արագ հեռացնելու համար:

1991 թվականի հոկտեմբերի 24-ին Վիկտոր Տանիևը, վերցնելով լիցքավորված «Մակարով» ատրճանակ ու ինքնաշեն ավտոմատ, Մանուկի ու Տիգրանի հետ, վերջիններիս ծանոթ Մկրտիչի «ՎԱԶ-2103» մեքենայով մեկնել են Էջմիածնի շրջանի այն գյուղը, որտեղ ապրում էր սպանության թիրախը՝ Համլետը :

Վիկտոր Տանիևը նույնիսկ մտել է Համլետի տան բակը, բայց համոզվելով, որ տանը շատ մարդ կա, սպանությունը հետաձգել է հաջորդ օրվան:

Հաջորդ օրը, առավոտյան ժամը վեցի սահմաններում Մանուկն ու Տիգրանը Վիկտոր Տանիևին նորից հասցրել են Համլետի գյուղը, մեքենայից իջեցրել են Համլետի աշխատավայրի՝ պտղի վերամշակման արտադրամասի մերձակայքում:

Զինված Տանիևը մտել է արտադրամասի պահակատուն և տեսնելով Համլետին՝ երեք անգամ կրակել է նրա ուղղությամբ ու դիմել է փախուստի:

Համլետը ծանր վնասվածքներ է ստացել, բայց չի մահացել:

Նրան հասցրել են տեղափոխել հիվանդանոց ու բժշկական օգնություն ցուցաբերել:

Միաժամանակ, կրակոցների ձայնից հավաքված տղամարդիկ սկսել են հետապնդել փախչող Տանիևին: Փախչելու ընթացքում Տանիևը մի քանի կրակոց էլ է արձակել հետապնդողների ուղղությամբ, վիրավորել է նրանցից մեկին՝ Սամվելին:

Պայմանավորվածության համաձայն՝ գյուղից դուրս մեքենայով Վիկտոր Տանիևին սպասող Մանուկն ու Տիգրանը մոտեցրել են մեքենան, որ Վիկտորը կարողանա նստել, ու դիմեն փախուստի: Բայց հեռվից տեսնելով, որ գյուղացիները աղմուկով հետապնդում են Տանիևին, Մանուկն ու Տիգրանը մեքենան քշել-փախել են առանց նրա:

Վիկտոր Տանիևը, տեսնելով, որ գյուղացիները շրջապատում են իրեն, փախչել չի կարողանա, «ընկերներն» էլ հեռացել են, ատրճանակով կրակել է իր քունքին ու ինքնասպան է եղել...

1993 թվականի փետրվարի 17-ին ՀՀ գերագույն դատարանի քրեական գործերով դատական կոլեգիան 1961 թվականին ծնված Մանուկ Մ.-ին մեղավոր է ճանաչել դիտավորյալ սպանության փորձին օժանդակելու համար՝ այն ժամանակվա քրեական օրենսգրքի 17-15-99 հոդվածի 1-ին մասով, և դատապարտել է 8 տարի ազատազրկման: Իսկ Մանուկի ընկեր ու հանցակից Տիգրանը հասցրել էր ճողոպրել, նրա նկատմամբ հայտարարված էր հետախուզում:
