 Թուրքիայի խորհրդարանում Գարո Փայլանի կողմից  Հայոց ցեղասպանության հիշատակումը խիզախ եւ ճիշտ քայլ էր։ Նման կարծիք «Արմենպրես»-ի հետ զրույցում հայտնեց Գերմանիայի Բունդեսթագի թուրք պատգամավոր Սեւիմ Դաղդելենը։

«Պատգամավորին խորհրդարանական հետագա նիստերին մասնակցելու իրավունքից զրկելը հակաժողովրդավարական քայլ է։ Նախագահ Էրդողանը եւ նրա կուսակցությունը չեն ուզում լսել պատմական ճշմարտությունը եւ չեն կարող դա հանդուրժել։ Էրդողանը ավելի քան խստորեն է գործում իր քննադատների դեմ հատկապես ամռան հեղաշրջման ձախողված փորձից հետո»,- ասաց թուրք պատգամավորը։

Նա մտավախություն ունի, որ Գարո Փայլանը մյուսների նման նույնպես կարող է հայտնվել անազատության մեջ։

«Ժողովուրդների դեմոկրատական կուսակցության անդամները ձերբակալված են։ Կուսակցության համանախագահներ Սելահաթթին Դեմիրթաշն ու Ֆիգեն Յուքսեքդաղը դատապարտվելու են ավելի քան 200 տարվա ազատազրկման։ Էրդողանի նման տրամադրության դեպքում մարդ պետք է միայն մտահոգվի կյանքի ու առողջության համար։ Հիշեք Հրանտ Դինքին, ում տասը տարի առաջ Ստամբուլում սպանեց մի ազգայնական։ Սպանության հետեւում կանգնած մարդիկ մինչ օրս հանգիստ ապրում են»,-եզրափակեց թուրք պատգամավորը։

Թուրքիայի քրդամետ Ժողովուրդների դեմոկրատական կուսակցության պատգամավոր Գարո Փայլանը մեջլիսումսահմանադրական փոփոխությունների քննարկման ժամանակ բարձրացրել է Հայոց ցեղասպանության հարցը: «Ցեղասպանություն» եզրույթը մի քանի անգամ կիրառելու պատճառով նրան պատժել են` հեռացնելով երեք նիստից։
