Հնդկաստանը կչափի Էվերեստի բարձրությունը Նեպալում տեղի ունեցած երկրաշարժից հետո

Հնդկաստանի կառավարությունը ցանկանում Է Էվերեստի (Ջոմոլունգմայի) բարձրության չափումներ կատարել այն բանի կապակցությամբ, որ, գիտնականների տվյալներով՝ լեռը կարող Է ցածրացած լինել 2015 թվականին Նեպալում տեղի ունեցած երկրաշարժի հետեւանքով, տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը՝ հղում անելով BBC-ին:
Կառավարական հանձնախմբի ղեկավար Սվառնա Սուբա Ռաոն հայտնել Է, որ աշխարհի ամենաբարձր լեռ գիտարշավ կուղարկվի երկու ամիս հետո:
Բարձրության բուն չափումները, ինչպես ենթադրվում Է, կտեւեն շուրջ մեկ ամիս, եւս երկու շաբաթ կպահանջվի հաշվարկների համար:
Ավելի վաղ գիտնականները հայտնել են, որ արբանյակային նկարահանման ժամանակ ստացված տվյալների համաձայն՝ 2015 թվականի երկրաշարժի հետեւանքով Էվերեստի բարձրությունը մի քանի սանտիմետրով իջել Է:
Ըստ նախորդ չափումների, որոնք կատարվել են 1955 թվականին, Էվերեստի բարձրությունը կազմում Է 8 848 մետր:
2015 թվականի ապրիլին Նեպալում տեղի ունեցավ 7,8 մագնիտուդով երկրաշարժ, որի հետեւանքով զոհվեց ավելի քան ութ հազար մարդ:
