 ՄԱԿ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղար Անտոնիո Գուտիերեշն ուղերձ է հղել Հոլոքոստի զոհերի հիշատակի միջազգային օրվա կապակցությամբ: Ինչպես հաղորդում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, ՄԱԿ-ի հայաստանյան գրասենյակը ներկայացնում է ուղերձն ամբողջությամբ.

«Այսօր հարգանքի տուրք ենք մատուցում Հոլոքոստի՝ մարդկային պատմության ընթացքում նմանը չունեցող ողբերգության զոհերին։

Աշխարհը պարտականություն ունի՝ հիշելու, որ Հոլոքոստը հրեա ժողովրդին և բազմաթիվ այլոց վերացնելու համակարգային փորձ էր։

Վտանգավոր սխալ կլիներ Հոլոքոստը համարել սոսկ մի խումբ հանցագործ նացիստների խելացնորության հետևանք։ Հակառակը, Հոլոքոստը գագաթնակետն էր հրեաների դեմ ուղղված ատելության, խտրականության և նրանց քավության նոխազ դարձնելու դարաշրջանի։ Երևույթ, որն այժմ կոչում ենք հակասեմիտականություն։

Ցավոք, հակառակ մեր վճռականության, հակասեմիտականությունը շարունակում է բարգավաճել։ Մենք ականատեսն են նաև ծայրահեղականության, այլատյացության, ռասիզմի և մահմեդականների դեմ ատելության մտահոգիչ աճի։ Իռացիոնալությունն ու անհանդուրժողականությունը վերադարձել են։

Սա ամբողջովին հակասում է Միավորված ազգերի կազմակերպության կանոնադրությամբ և Մարդու իրավունքների համընդհանուր հռչակագրով ամրագրված համընդհանուր արժեքներին։

Մենք երբեք իրավունք չունենք լռելու կամ անտարբեր լինելու, երբ տառապում են մարդկային էակները։

Մենք միշտ պետք է պաշտպանենք խոցելիներին և կեղեքիչներին կանգնեցնենք արդարադատության առջև։

Եվ, ինչպես ընդգծում է այս տարվա թեման, ավելի լավ ապագան կախված է կրթությունից։

20-րդ դարի սարսափներից հետո, 21-րդ դարում տեղ չպիտի ունենա անհանդուրժողականությունը։ Երաշխավորում եմ ձեզ, որ որպես ՄԱԿ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղար՝ լինելու եմ հակասեմիտականության և ատելության բոլոր այլ ձևերի դեմ պայքարի առաջնագծում։

Եկեք կառուցենք բոլորի համար արժանապատվություն և հավասարություն երաշխավորող ապագա՝ հենց այդպիսով հարգելով հիշատակը Հոլոքոստի զոհերի, որոնք երբեք թույլ չեն տա մոռանալ իրենց»։
