ՆԱՏՕ-ի եւ Ռուսաստանի առճակատմամբ պայմանավորված միջուկային պատերազմի սպառնալիքը կրկին հրատապ է դարձել, Time-ում հրապարակված իր հոդվածում նշել է ԽՍՀՄ նախկին նախագահ Միխայիլ Գորբաչովը: Նրա խոսքով՝ Ռուսաստանի եւ ԱՄՆ-ի առաջնորդները պետք է հանդես գան միջուկային պատերազմները լիովին արգելելու նախաձեռնությամբ, փոխանցում է RBC-ն:
Նա ընդգծել է, որ այսօր «ավելի հրատապ խնդիր չկա, քան ռազմականացումն ու սպառազինությունների նոր մրցավազքը»:
«Միջազգային անվտանգության եւ խաղաղության համար առաջին պատասխանատու կազմակերպության՝ ՄԱԿ Անվտանգության խորհրդի անդամներին կոչ եմ անում առաջին քայլը կատարել»,- ասել է Գորբաչովը՝ առաջարկելով միջուկային հակամարտությունների արգելքի մասին բանաձեւ ընդունել:
«Կարծում եմ, որ նման բանաձեւի ընդունման նախաձեռնությունը պետք է բխի Դոնալդ Թրամփից եւ Վլադիմիր Պուտինից՝ երկրների ղեկավարներ, որոնք տնօրինում են համաշխարհային միջուկային զինանոցի ավելի քան 90 տոկոսը»,- ընդգծել է Գորբաչովը:
