Human Right Watch մարդու իրավունքների միջազգային կազմակերպությունն, անդրադառնալով Նարդարանի գործով 16 ձերբակալվածների դատավարությանը, Ադրբեջանի կառավարությունից պահանջել է ազատ արձակել նրանց:

Այս մասին հայտնում է ադրբեջանական azadliq.info լրատվական գործակալությունը:

Կազմակերպության հայտարարության մեջ նշվում է, որ այդ ձերբակալությունները կատարվել են քաղաքական դրդապատճառներով, և այդ անձինք շինծու մեղադրանքներով դատապարտվել են 10-20 տարվա ազատազրկումների:

Հայտարարության մեջ նաև անդրադարձ է կատարվել ձերբակալվածների նկատմամբ իրականացված խոշտանգումներին:

«Այդ մարդիկ Ադրբեջանի ներքին գործերի նախարարության կազմակերպված հանցավորության դեմ պայքարի վարչությունում ենթարկվել են տարատեսակ ճնշումների, խոշտանգումների, ոստիկանները նրանց նկատմամբ կիրառել են նաև էլեկտրաշոկ»,- նշված է հայտարարության մեջ:

Ձերբակալվածներին միայն 8 ամիս անց է թույլատրվել օգտվել փաստաբանական ծառայությունից, ինչը նույնպես նրանց իրավունքների խախտում է համարվում:

«Ադրբեջանը ստորագրել է այնպիսի միջազգային պայմանագրեր, ինչպիսիք են Միացյալ ազգերի կազմակերպության խոշտանգումների դեմ պայքարի և Եվրոպայի մարդու իրավունքների կոնվենցիաները, և Ադրբեջանական կառավարությունը պարտավոր է ի կատար ածել դրանք»,- ասված է կազմակերպության հայտարարության մեջ:

Human Right Watch անդրադարձել է նաև Ադրբեջանում գործող ընդդիմադիր Ժողովրդական ճակատ կուսակցությանը և նշել, որ միայն 2016-ին այդ կուսակցությունից տարբեր շինծու մեղադրանքներով ձերբակալվել է ամենաքիչը 20 ակտիվիստ:

Human Right Watch-ը Ադրբեջանի կառավարությունից պահանջել է ազատ արձակել Նարդարանի գործով ձերբակալվածներին, ինչպես նաև տարբեր անօրինական մեղադրանքներով ձերբակալված ակտիվիստներին, հետաքննել և բացահայտել նրանց նկատմամբ իրականացված խոշտանգումներն ու ճնշումները, և պատժել մեղավորներին:

«Այս իրականությունը պատռում է Ադրբեջանի կառավարության դիմակը»,- ասված է հայտարարության մեջ:

Human Right Watch-ը 90 երկրներում  2016-ին մարդու իրավունքների իրավիճակի եւ այդ երկրների կառավարությունների կողմից այդ ոլորտում կատարված քայլերի վերաբերյալ ամփոփիչ զեկույց էր հրապարակել: Զեկույցում տեղ էր գտել նաև Ադրբեջանը:

Զեկույցում ասվում էր, որ Ադրբեջանում 2016-ին խոսքի ազատության, երբեմնի կենսունակ և ակտիվ քաղաքացիական հասարակության դրությունը ավելի է վատթարացել, իշխանություններին քննադատող անձինք ձերբակալվել և տարբեր խոշտանգումների  ու ճնշումների են ենթարկվել:

Ադրբեջանում ընդունված սահմանափակող օրենքները գրեթե անհնար են դարձնում հասարակական կազմակերպությունների գործունեությունը:
