ԱՄՆ-ի արդարադատության ժամանակավոր ղեկավար եւ գլխավոր դատախազ Սալլի Եթսը, որը գերատեսչությունը գլխավորում Էր Բարաք Օբամայի նախորդ վարչակազմի օրոք, աշխատանքից հեռացվել Է նոր նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփի որոշմամբ: Այդ մասին, ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը, հայտնել Է Reuters գործակալությունը:
Նախարարությունը ղեկավար Է նաշանակվել Վիրջինիայի նահանգի Արեւելյան օկրուգի դատախազ Դանա Բոենտեն:
Եթսը պետք Է իր պարտականությունները կատարեր մինչեւ նոր ղեկավարի նշանակումը, սակայն հունվարի 30-ին հայտարարել Է, որ հրաժարվում Է պաշտպանել ներգաղթի սահմանափակման Թրամփի հրամանագիրը:
Նախարարության աշխատակիցներին հղած փաստաթղթում Եթսը հայտարարել Է, թե համոզված չԷ Թրամփի հրամանագրի օրինականության հարցում: Նրա խոսքով՝ ինքը վստահ չԷ, որ կեսագործելով նախագահի որոշումը, գերատեսչությունը չի խախտի «արդարությունն ու իրավունքը պաշտպանելու» իր պարտավորությունը:
Ավելի վաղ Թրամփը արդարադատության նախարարի եւ ԱՄՆ-ի գլխավոր դատախազի պաշտոնում առաջադրել Է հանրապետական սենատոր Ջեֆ Սեշնսին: Նա առայժմ հաստատված չԷ Սենատի կողմից:
Ավելի վաղ Թրամփն ստորագրել Է հրամանագիր, որը նախատեսում Է 120 օրով դադարեցնել ԱՄՆ-ում փախստականների տեղավորման ծրագիրը: Այն նաեւ 90 օրով սահմանափակել Է Սիրիայի, Իրաքի, Իրանի, Սոմալիի, Սուդանի, Լիբիայի եւ Եմենի քաղաքացիների մուտքը երկիր:
