Կտավատի սերմերի հիմնական օգտակարությունը 3 հիմնական բաղադրիչների՝ բջջանյութի, պոլիչհագեցած ճարպաթթուների, լիգնանների շնորհիվ է: В խմբի վիտամիննեը, վիտամին Е-ն, յոդը, կալցիումը, ցինկը, երկաթը, կարոտինը, մագնեզիումը, ծծումբը, ֆոսֆորը, կալիումը, սիլիցիումը, պղինձը, նիկելը, մանգանը, մոլիբդենը, կոբալտը և քրոմն ուժեղացնում են բուժական ազդեցությունը:
