Ամերիկացիների մեծամասնությունը պաշտպանում Է առավելապես մուսուլմանական բնակչությամբ յոթ երկրների քաղաքացիների համար երկիր մուտքը ժամանակավորապես արգելող հրամանագիրը: Այդ մասին, ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը, հունվարի 31-ին հայտնել Է The Hill-ը՝ հղում անելով Reuters/Ipsos-ի հարցման տվյալներին:
Հարցվածների 49 տոկոսը լիովին կամ մասամբ համաձայն Է նախագահի որոշմանը: Դեմ Է արտահայտվել 41 տոկոսը, եւս 10 տոկոսը չի հստակեցրել իր պատասխանը:
Հարցման մասնակիցներից գրեթ յուրաքանչյուր երրորդը հայտարարել Է, որ սկսել Է իրեն ավելի անվտանգ զգալ այն բանից հետո, երբ հրապարակվեց ներգաղթային հրամանագիրը: Գրեթե նույնքանն Էլ (38 տոկոս) վստահ Է, որ Ամերիկան ահաբեկչության դեմ պայքարի լավ օրինակ Է ցույց տալիս մնացած աշխարհին, սակայն 41 տոկոսը նրանց հետ համաձայն չԷ:
Հունվարի 27-ին Թրամփը հրամանագիր Է ստորագրել, որի համաձայն 120 օրով սահմանափակվում Է փախստականների մուտքն ԱՄՆ եւ 90 օրով մուտքն ԱՄՆ կասեցվում Է Իրաքի, Սիրիայի, Իրանի, Սուդանի, Լիբիայի, Սոմալիի եւ Եմենի քաղաքացիների համար: Դա առաջ Է բերել զանգվածային բողոքներ, նախագահի որոշումը դատապարտել են բազմաթիվ քաղաքական գործիչներ Ամերիկայում ու նրա սահմաններից դուրս, հաղորդել Է «Ինտերֆաքս»-ը:
