 Իրանի նախագահ Հասան Ռոուհանին հայտարարել Է, որ Թրամփը սկսնակ Է քաղաքականության մեջ եւ չի հասկանում՝ ինչ Է տեղի ունենում աշխարհում, տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը՝ հղում անելով Reuters-ին:
«Թրամփը նոր մարդ Է քաղաքականության մեջ,-նշել Է Ռոուհանին:-Մինչ այդ նա ապրում Էր միանգամայն այլ աշխարհում, իսկ այժմ հայտնվել Է բացարձակապես անծանոթ իրադրության մեջ: ԱՄՆ-ը մեծ գին կվճարի, նախքան նա կհասկանա, թե իրականում ինչ Է տեղի ունենում աշխարհում»:
Մեկնաբանության համար առիթ Է դարձել ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահի կողմից ստորագրված օրենքը, որը սահմանափակում Է ներգաղթը իսլամական մի շարք երկրներից, ներառյալ Իրանը: «Այժմ մարդկանց բաժանելու ժամանակը չԷ»,-ասել Է Ռոուհանին, հավելելով, որ Թեհրանն անհրաժեշտ բոլոր միջոցները կձեռնարկի ի պատասխան ԱՄՆ-ի ղեկավարի որոշման:
Ավելի վաղ Իսլամական Հանրապետության արտաքին գործերի նախարար Ջավադ Զարիֆը հայտարարել Է, որ Իրանը կդադարեցնի ամերիկացիներին մուտքի այցագրեր տալը՝ ի պատասխան ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփի այն հրամանագրի: «Դրան մեր պատասխանն այս Է. մենք ամերիկացիներին Իրան այցելելու այցագրեր չենք տա»,- ասել Է Զարիֆը: Նրա խոսքով՝ հնարավոր են այդ կանոնից բացառություններ: «Եթե լինեն բացառություններ, ապա դրանք կքննարկվեն Իրանի ԱԳ նախարարության կողմից, դրանից հետո կընդունվի որոշում»,-հայտարարել Է նախարարը:
Հունվարի 27-ին Թրամփը հրամանագիր Է ստորագրել, որի համաձայն 120 օրով սահմանափակվում Է փախստականների մուտքն ԱՄՆ եւ 90 օրով մուտքն ԱՄՆ կասեցվում Է Իրաքի, Սիրիայի, Իրանի, Սուդանի, Լիբիայի, Սոմալիի եւ Եմենի քաղաքացիների համար: Դա առաջ Է բերել զանգվածային բողոքներ, նախագահի որոշումը դատապարտել են բազմաթիվ քաղաքական գործիչներ Ամերիկայում ու նրա սահմաններից դուրս:
