«Չնայած հանգամանքին, որ Ջերմուկն օր օրի գեղեցկանում է, միջազգային բրենդներ են գալիս, այնուհանդերձ, քաղաքն աշխուժանում է ընդամենը 20 օր՝ օգոստոսին, այն էլ հիմնականում սոցփաթեթ ունեցողների և Ղարաբաղի հանքերում աշխատող, հանքի հաշվին հանգստացող աշխատակիցների։ Սեպտեմբերի առաջին տասնօրյակին Ջերմուկը դա՜փ-դատարկ էր՝ բառի ամենաիսկական իմաստով, շունչ չկար։ Անցած տարի գոնե մեկ-երկու մարզպետ էր հանգստանում, այս տարի նրանց իզնութոզը չկար։ Ջերմուկցիները խորը կարոտով էին հիշում, թե ինչպես էին վարչապետ Անդրանիկ Մարգարյանը, նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանը, նախարար Գևորգ Դանիելյանը «գալիս-շենացնում» Ջերմուկը, «Բազեի» հավաքներն էին այդտեղ կազմակերպում. «Հիմա՝ չէ, էլ չեն գալիս, Եվրոպա են գնում»։

 Ինչու էր Ջերմուկն այդքան դատարկ, հարցրինք Աժ պատգամավոր Աշոտ Արսենյանին։ «Մի վայրկյան, մենք թվեր ունեք, որ անցած տարվա վրա 20 տոկոս աճ ունենք, ես իմ թվերն եմ ասում»։ «Արարատ-Հայաթը» Ձեր կլիենտուրային չի՞ փախցրել։ «Չէ, հակառակը, «Հայաթը» կլիենտ է բերում»։ Ո՞նց է բերում, գալիս-տեսնում են էնտեղ թանկ է, Ձեր «Արմենիայո՞ւմ» են հանգրվանում։ «Ոչ, ամեն առողջարան իր կլիենտն ունի»։ Դուք և քաղաքապետ Վ. Հովհաննիսյանը խոստացել էիք, որ Ձախ ափում ասֆալտ կլինի, լուսավորություն, լուսավորություն կա, ասֆալտ՝ ոչ։ «Կլինի, համբերություն ունեցեք»։ Քանի՜ տարի։ «Հարյուր հիսուն»։ Հո ագռավ չե՞նք»,–գրում է թերթը։
