Ներկայացնում ենք թերթի խմբագրականից մի հատված.
«Ռուսաստանյան մտավորականության բազմաթիվ հռետորական հարցերի շարքում է «ի՞նչ անել», «ո՞վ է մեղավոր», կա ևս մեկը, որն այնքան էլ հաճախ չի հնչում՝ «ե՞րբ Է այդ ամենն սկսվել»։ «Ո՞վ Է մեղավոր» հարցն ինձ ապակաոուցողական է թվամ, մենք առավոտվանից գիշեր մեղավորներ ենք փնտրում, ղատափետում ենք մարդկանց, ոչ թե չարիքը, նրանց պիտակներ ենք կպցնում, խարազանում ենք և այլն։ «Ի՞նչ անել»–ն, իհարկե, իմաստաւից է: «Ինչպե՞ս դա պատահեց» հարցի շուրջ արժե մտածել, բայց դարձյալ՝ ավելի շուտ հետագա աղետները կանխելու, ոչ թե անհատներին մեղադրելու առումով։ Իսկապես, մարդիկ չեն նկատում, թե ինչպես է գալիս աղետը՝ ի դեմս, ասենք, «Իսլամական պետության», հարյուր հազարավոր փախստականների կամ՝ նույն ուկրաինական ճգնաժամի։ Իսկ երբ պայթում է ռումբը, մարդիկ զարմանում են՝ «վայ, դա ինչպե՞ս եղավ»։ Հիվանդության առաջին համախտանիշները մեզ սովորաբար ոչինչ չեն ասում, մենք նկատում ենք աղետը, երբ բանը բանից անցնում է։
Ինչո՞ւ է Հայաստանի պետական կառույցներում տիրում կոռուպցիա, անպատժելիություն, զոռբայություն, ցինիզմ։ Պատճառները, բնականաբար, բազմազան են, բայց ամենավերջին խթաններից մեկն այն էր, որ 90-ականների ամենասկզբին որոշում կայացվեց՝ ներել կամ, համենայնդեպս, մեղմ վերաբերվել նրանց, ովքեր «մեր քաղաքական թիմի» ներկայացուցիչներն են։ Սինգապուրում հակառակն արեցին։
Ինչո՞ւ է մեր հասարակությունն այս աստիճանի հիմարացել և ռաբիսացել։ Դարձյալ պատճառները հազարավոր են։ Բայց դրանցից մեկն, իմ կարծիքով, 2002 թվականին «Ա1 +»–ի փակումն էր։ Հարցն այն չէ, որ ես կամ այս հեռուստատեսության որևէ աշխատող սոված է մնացել կամ աշխատանք չունի։ Խնդիրն ավելի խորն է և անձնական չէ. երբ դու սկսում ես ամեն ինչ շատ խիստ վերահսկել, մարդիկ աստիճանաբար կորցնում են ինքնուրույն մտածելու հատկությունը։
