 ԿԺԴՀ-ում պաշտոնանկ Է արվել պետանվտանգության նախարար Կիմ Վոն Հոնը, իսկ նրա գերատեսչությունում ձերբակալվել ու մահապատժի են ենթարկվել բազմաթիվ ղեկավարներ: Այդ մասին, ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը, հայտնել Է Kyodo լրատվական գործակալությունը՝ վկայակոչելով հարավկորեական կառավարական աղբյուրներ: 
Նրանց տվյալներով՝ նախարարն իր պաշտոնից զրկվել Է ստուգումների արդյունքում, որը ԿԺԴՀ-ի առաջնորդ Կիմ Չեն Ընի ցուցումով անցկացրել Է Կորեայի աշխատավորական կուսակցության Կենտկոմի կազմակերպչական բաժնի կողմից: Այն, ինչպես հաղորդվում Է, բացահայտել Է, որ պետական անվտանգության գերատեսչությունում  կիրառվել են կտտանքներ, իսկ նրա ղեկավարությունը վերազանցում Էր իր լիազորությունները, ներքաշված Էր  կոռուպցիայի մեջ եւ այլն: 
Պաշտոնանկությունից բացի, իջեցվել Է պետանվտանգության արդեն նախկին նախարարի զինվորական կոչումը՝ բանակի գեներալից մինչեւ գեներալ-լեյտենանտ: Աղբյուրները չեն բացառում, որ հետաքննության ընթացքում նա կարող Է ենթարկվել ավելի խիստ պատժի: 
Պետական անվտանգության նախարարությունն ամենախոշոր հատուկ ծառայությունն Է ԿԺԴՀ-ում, այդ տնօրինում Է հետախուզությունը, հակահետախուզությունը, խափանարար գործունեությամբ զբաղվող տարրերի բացահայտումը: Ըստ որոշ տեղեկությունների՝ այդ գերատեսչությունում աշխատում Է շուրջ 50 հազար մարդ, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
