  Գերմանիայի սոցիալ-դեմոկրատական կուսակցությունից երկրի կանցլերի թեկնածու Մարտին Շուլցը խիստ քննադատության Է ենթարկել ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփի քաղաքականությունը՝ նրան համարելով  «ժողովրդավարության սպառնալիք»: Այդ մասին, ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը, Եվրախորհրդարանի նախկին ղեկավարը հայտարարել Է «Շպիգել» հանդեսին տված հարցազրույցում, որից քաղվածքներ են հրապարակված հրատարակության կայքում:
«Այն, ինչ այժմ սկսել Է անել ամերիկյան կառավարությունը, կոչվում Է մշակույթների պայքար»,-ասել Է Շուլցը: Նրա խոսքով՝ Թրամփը «խաղում Է արեւմտյան աշխարհի անվտանգության հետ»:
Ավելի վաղ Շուլցը Թրամփին մեղադրել Է Եվրամիությունը պառակտելու մտադրության մեջ: «Ակներեւ Է, որ առկա Է Եվրամիությունը պառակտելու ցանկություն»,-ասել Է նա, նշելով, որ Թրամփը, լինելով դեռ ընտրված նախագահ, առաջիններից մեկը ԱՄՆ հրավիրեց ԵՄ-ից Մեծ Բրիտանիայի դուրս գալու քարոզարշավի ղեկավար Նայջել Ֆարաջին: «Մեզ համար դա նշանակում Է, որ խոշորագույն ներքին շուկան պետք Է տրոհվի»,-պարզաբանել Է Շուլցը: Նրա խոսքով՝ նման քաղաքականությունը «գրոհ Է Եվրոպայի վրա» եւ չի համապատասխանում Գերմանիայի կառավարության շահերին: 
«Մենք պահանջում ենք, որ մեր արժեքները եւ հարաբերություններում մեր դերը հարգվեն»,-հավելել Է նա: 
61-ամա Շուլցը Անգելա Մերկելի գլխավոր մրցակիցը կդառնա Բունդեսթագի ընտրություններում, որոնք նշանակված են սեպտեմբերի 24-ին հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
