 Հանրապետությունում խաղողի մթերման աշխատանքներն ընթացքի մեջ են` 49 մթերող ընկերություններից 32-ն արդեն սկսել են գործընթացը: Մթերման աշխատանքները չեն սկսվել միայն Վայոց Ձորի մարզում, քանի որ այնտեղ դեռևս խաղողի շաքարայնությունը չի հասել ցանկալի մակարդակի: Այդ մասին կառավարության նիստում հայտարարեց ՀՀ գյուղատնտեսության նախարար Սերգո Կարապետյանը: «Խաղողի մթերման հարցում կան որոշակի դժվարություններ, գինեգործարանները հիմնականում չեն կարողացել ֆինանսական հոսքեր ավելացնել, կապված արտահանման կրճատման հետ: Սակայն բոլորի կողմից կա այն մոտեցումը, որ դատշում խաղող չի մնալու»,-  ասաց նախարարը:
Նրա տեղեկացմամբ, արդեն իսկ մթերվել է 80 հազար տոննա խաղող, չնայած  դժվարություններին` մթերումները նորմալ անցկացվելու են: Այս տարի արտադրված խաղողի ծավալները 30 տոկսով ավելի են նախորդ տարվա համեմատ: 2014-ին արտադրվել էր 281 հազար, իսկ այս տարի` 300 հազար տոննա խաղող: Դիմելով ՀՀ վարչապետ Հովիկ Աբրահամյանին` գյուղնախարարը վստահություն հայտնեց, որ նաև ՀՀ վարչապետի օժանդակությամբ խաղողի մթերման խոչընդոտները կհաղթահվեն:  
Իր հերթին, վարչապետը հանձնարարեց իրականացնել ամենօրյա հետևողական աշխատանք, իսկ եթե խնդիր լինեն, ապա կառավարությունը կաջակցի: 

 

Արմավիրի մարզի բնակիչները սեպտեմբերի 18-ին փակել էին Երևան-Արմավիր ճանապարհը` պահանջելով լուծել խաղողի մթերման խնդիրը: Լարված իրավիճակ էր նաև Արարատի մարզում: Փոքր Վեդի գյուղի մշակույթի տան բակում հավաքվել էին մեծ թվով գյուղացիներ Փոքր Վեդի, Լուսառատ, Տափերական, Այգեզարդ, Այգեպատ, Վերին Արտաշատ, Քաղցրաշեն և այլ գյուղերից, ովքեր պահանջում էին, որ ՀՀ գյուղնախարարությունը կատարի խոստումը: Գյուղերի բնակիչները փակել էին Երևան-Մեղրի ավտոճանապարհի Խոր Վիրապի հատվածը, ինչի հետևանքով երթևեկությունը կաթվածահար էր եղել: Գյուղացիներն ազատել էին ճանապարհը միայն գյուղնախարարի ժամանելուց հետո:
