ՀՀ նկախության 24-րդ տարեդարձի առթիվ Տոկիոյի «Օկուրա» հյուրանոցի սրահում սեպտեմբերի 24-ին Ճապոնիայում ՀՀ դեսպանությունը կազմակերպել էր պաշտոնական ընդունելություն՝ հյուրընկալելով Ճապոնիայի խորհրդարանի, կառավարության, պետական այլ կառույցների, գործակալությունների բարձրաստիճան պաշտոնյաների, դիվանագիտական ներկայացուցչությունների ղեկավարների, դիվանագետների, Ճապոնիա-Հայաստան ընկերակցության, ճապոնահայկական բարեկամության միության անդամների, գործարարների, արվեստագետների, լրագրողների:
Ինչպես տեղեկացրին ՀՀ արտաքին գործերի նախարարության մամուլի, տեղեկատվության եւ հասարակայնության հետ կապի վարչությունից, միջոցառման մեկնարկին հյուրերին ողջունել է Ճապոնիայում ՀՀ դեսպան Հրանտ Պողոսյանը, ով, մասնավորապես, անդրադարձել է անկախ Հայաստանի ձեռքբերումներին և երկրի հետագա զարգացմանը միտված անելիքներին: Նա ընդգծել է, որ այս տարին առանձնահատուկ է հայ ժողովրդի համար, քանի որ ամբողջ աշխարհում նշվում է Հայոց ցեղասպանության 100-րդ տարելից ը: Դեսպան Պողոսյանը գոհունակություն է հայտնել հայ-ճապոնական տարեցտարի սերտացող հարաբերությունների առիթով՝ նշելով, որ Հայաստանն ու Ճապոնիան արդեն իսկ մի շարք ոլորտներում համագործակցության ակտիվ օրակարգ են ձևավորել:
Այնուհետև ողջույնի խոսք է ասել Ճապոնիա-Հայաստան խորհրդարանական բարեկամության լիգայի ղեկավար Սեյշիրո Էտոն, ով, շնորհավորելով ՀՀ անկախության տարեդարձը, ընդգծել է, որ հայ-ճապոնական կապերի խորացման համար լավ հիմք է ստեղծվել, և պատրաստակամ աշխատանքի շնորհիվ հնարավոր է զգալի արդյունքների հասնել:
Հայաստանի ղեկավարությանը, հայ ժողովրդին և հյուրերին շնորհավորական ուղերձ է հղել նաև Ճապոնիայի արտաքին գործերի պետական նախարար Մինորու Կիուչին: Նա անդրադարձել է վերջին տարիների ընթացքում հայ-ճապոնական հարաբերություններում արձանագրված առաջընթացին՝ փոխայցելությունների ակտիվացմանը, գործակցության խորացմանն ու բազմաթիվ միջոցառումների անցկացմանը և վստահություն հայտնել, որ երկու երկրները հետայսու ևս կշարունակեն քայլեր ձեռնարկել` բարեկամության առավել ամրապնդման ուղղությամբ:
