Գիտնականները նոր ներգործուն դեղերի ստեղծման ժամկետները գնահատել են 100 տարի

Ամերիկացի գիտնականները ներկայացրել են այն բանի մանրամասն հաշվարկները, թե որքան ժամանակ կպահանջվի բժշկագիտության բնագավառում հիմնարար հետազոտություններից մինչեւ մահացու վտանգավոր հիդանդությունների դեմ նոր դեղորայքի մշակումը: Հատուկ գրաֆիկով նշելով հայտնագործությունների հետեւողականությունը՝ գիտնականները պարզել են, որ այժմ մեկ ներգործուն դեղի ստեղծման համար անհրաժեշտ են հազարավոր պրոֆեսիոնալների ջանքեր եւ տասնյակ տարիների աշխատանք: Հետազոտությունը ներայացված Է Cell հանդեսում:
Դիմելով տվյալների մոդելավորման նոր մեթոդներին՝ հետազոտողները հետեւել են այն երկու դեղերի ուղուն, որոնք վերջերս են թույլատրագրում անցել ԱՄՆ-ում եւ որոնք կարելի Է ապաքինող համարել: Դրանք են իպիլիմումաբը, որը կիրառվում Է ուշ փուլում մելանոմայի դեմ, եւ իվակաֆտորը, որը կիրառվում Է որոշ տիպերի մուկովիսցիդոզի դեմ:
Հրապարակված գիտական գործերի վկայակոչումների ուսումնասիրումը ցույց Է տվել, որ իպիլիմումաբի ստեղծումը պահանջել Է 5700 կազմակերպություններից յոթ հազար գիտնականների աշխատանքը, եւ այդ աշխատանքը տեւել Է ավելի քան հարյուր տարի: Իվակաֆտորը հայտնվել Է 2500 ինստիտուցիաներից 2900 գիտնականների շնորհիվ, իսկ նրանք աշխատել են 60 տարի:
