ԱՄՆ-Իրան հարաբերությունների սրացումը նպաստավոր չի լինի Իրան-Հայաստան համագործակցությունն ակտիվացնելու համար: Այս մասին «Արմենպրես»-ի մամուլի սրահում հրավիրված ասուլիսում նշեց ՀՅԴ Հայ Դատի և քաղաքական հարցերի գրասենյակի պատասխանատու Կիրո Մանոյանը:
«Պատահական չէ, որ Հայաստանն Իրանի հետ իր հարաբերությունները սերտացնելու, նոր բնագավառներ ընդգրկելու քայլեր սկսեց ձեռակել Իրան-Արևմուտք համաձայնությունից, պատժամիջոցները վերացնելուց հետո: Եթե Իրանի նկատմամբ պատժամիջոցները վերականգնվեն, ապա դրանք կարող են խոչընդոտ լինել Իրան-Հայաստան հարաբերությունների ակտիվացմանը: Ամեն դեպքում իրավիճակը նպաստվոր չի լինի»,-ասաց Կիրո Մանոյանը:
Նրա խոսքով՝ Թրամփի հայտարարությունները, Իրանի արձագանքը դեռ չեն նշանակում, որ երկու երկրների հարաբերությունները սրվում են: Կիրո Մանոյանն այդ հայտարարություններն ավելի շատ դիտարկում է երկու երկրների դիրքավորման տեսանկյունից:
ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփը իրանական միջուկային ծրագրի վերաբերյալ Թեհրանի հետ կնքված համաձայնագիրը որակել էորպես «վատթարագույն գործարք»:Նա Իրանը համարել է «թիվ մեկ ահաբեկչական պետություն, որն աշխարհում բոլորին փող ուզենք է մատկարարում»: ԱՄՆ-ն անհա նգստացած է, որ Իրանը բալիստիկ հրթիռի փորձարկում է անցկացրել 2017 թվականիհունվարի 29-ին: Իրանի բարձրագույն առաջնորդ այաթոլա Ալի Համենեին հայտարարել է, որ Թեհրանը փետրվարի 10-ինկպատասխանի ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփի կողմից սպառնալիքներին:
