«Հայկական ժամանակ» օրաթերթը գրում է.
«Երեկ Ազգային ժողովի նիստի մեկնարկին ԱԺ փոխնախագահ Հերմինե Նաղդալյանը հայտարարեց, որ ՀՀ վերահսկիչ պալատի նախագահ Իշխան Զաքարյանը զբաղեցրած պաշտոնից հրաժարականի դիմում է ներկայացրել ԱԺ նախագահ Գալուստ Սահակյանին:
Եթե 15-օրյա ժամկետում Զաքարյանը հետ չվերցնի իր դիմումը, այն կհամարվի ընդունված: Իշխան Զաքարյանի հրաժարականից հետո ՎՊ նախագահի պաշտոնի համար մրցավազքն արդեն սկսվել է: Դեռ շաբաթներ առաջ հայտնի էր, որ Իշխան Զաքարյանը կարող է հրաժարական տալ, քանի որ լինելու է Ծառուկյան դաշինքի նախընտրական շտաբի պետը: Եվ երեկ ԱԺ-ում նրա հրաժարականի վերաբերյալ դիմումի ներկայացումից հետո արդեն քննարկվում էր հարցը, թե ովքեր են այդ պաշտոնին հավակնող թեկնածուները: Երեք հավանական թեկնածուների անուններ են շրջանառվում:
Նախ, այդ պաշտոնին ձգտում է ՀՅԴ-ն որի թեկնածուն ՎՊ խորհրդի նախագահի տեղակալ Արա Նռանյանն է: Երեկ փորձեցինք ՀՅԴ խմբակցության ղեկավար Արմեն Ռուստամյանից մեկնաբանություն ստանալ, բայց նա հրաժարվեց անգամ հարցը լսել: Թեկնածու են նաեւ ՎՊ խորհրդի անդամ Սեյրան Ավագյանն է ու այդ խորհրդի նախկին անդամ, էներգետիկայի նախկին նախարար Լեւոն Յոլյանը»:
