Գերմանիայի կանցլեր Անգելա Մերկելը կմասնակցի անվտանգության հարցերին նվիրված մյունխենյան խորհրդաժողովին: Այդ մասին, ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը, հայտնել Է Reuters գործակալությունը՝ հղում անելով կառավարության մի աղբյուրի: 
Ըստ նրա տեղեկությունների, համաժողովին կժամանի նաեւ ԱՄՆ-ի փոխնախագահ Մայքլ Փենսը: Այսպիսով, խորհրդաժողովի շրջանակներում կարող Է կայանալ Գերմանիայի ղեկավարի առաջին հանդիպումը ԱՄՆ-ի նոր վարչակազմի բարձրաստիճան ներկայացուցչի հետ: Ավելի վաղ խորհրդաժողովին իրենց մասնակցությունը հաստատել են ԱՄՆ-ի պաշտպանության եւ ազգային անվտանգության նախարարներ Ջեյմս Մեթիսը եւ Ջոն Քելլին: Նաեւ սպասվում Է, որ միջոցառմանը կմասնակցի ԱՄՆ-ի պետքարտուղար Ռեքս Թիլերսոնը: 
Մյունխենի խորհրդաժողովը տեղի կունենա փետրվարի 17-19-ին: Ընդամենը, կազմակերպիչների տվյալներով, դրան կմասնակցեն ավելի քան 500 քաղաքական գործիչներ, գործարար ու գիտական շրջանների, ինչպես նաեւ իրավապաշտպան կազմակերպությունների ներկայացուցիչներ ամբողջ աշխարհից: Ուշադրության կենտրոնում կլինեն Ռուսաստանի եւ Արեւմուտքի հարաբերությունները, ուկրաինական ճգնաժամը, ԵՄ-ի երկրների համագործակցությունը անվտանգության ու պաշտպանության ոլորտում, Մերձավոր Արեւելքի իրադրությունը, միջազգային ահաբեկչության դեմ պայքարը, Կորեական թերակղզու իրադրությո ւնը եւ բազմաթիվ այլ թեմաներ:
Ինչպես նշում Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը, համաժողովում Ռուսաստանը կներկայացնի ՌԴ ԱԳ նախարար Սերգեյ Լավրովը:
