Փետրվարի 12-ին Գերմանիայում նոր նախագահ կընտրեն

Կիրակի՝ փետրվարի 12-ին, Գերմանիայի դաշնային ժողովը կընտրի նոր նախագահին: Որպես կանոն, ժողովը 4 տարին մեկ է հրավիրվում՝ պետության ղեկավարին ընտրելու համար: Այն կազմված է 1260 պատվիրակներից, որոնցից կեսը Բունդեսթագի պատգամավորներն են, մյուս կեսը՝ դաշնային հողերի ներկայացուցիչները: Նրանք նախագահին կընտրեն քաղաքական կուսակցությունների առաջադրած թեկնածուներից:

Գերմանիայի Սոցիալ-դեմոկրատական կուսակցությունից, Քրիստոնեա-դեմոկրատական միությունից եւ Քրիստոնեա-սոցիալական միությունից կազմված իշխող կոալիցիան նախագահի թեկնածու է առաջադրել ԱԳ նախկին նախարար Ֆրանկ-Վալտեր Շթայնմայերին, որը բացարձակ ֆավորիտ է համարվում, քանի որ նրան խոստացել են աջակցել ոչ միայն կոալիցիայի, այլեւ ընդդիմադիր Ազատ դեմոկրատական կուսակցության եւ «կանաչների» պատվիրակները, որոնք սեփական թեկնածու չեն առաջադրել:

Ձախերը նախագահի թեկնածու են առաջադրել անկուսակցական քաղաքագետ եւ սոցիոլոգ Քրիսթոֆ Բուտերվեգեին, որը երկար տարիներ  Սոցիալ-դեմոկրատական կուսակցության անդամ է եղել, որի շարքերը լքել է 2005 թվականին՝ կուսակցության սոցիալական քաղաքականությանը չհամաձայնվելու պատճառով:

Թեկնածուների թվում են «Այլընտրանքներ Գերմանիայի համար» կուսակցության փոխնախագահ Ալբրեխտ Գլազերը, «Ազատ ընտրողներ» քաղաքական միավորման անդամ, իրավաբան Ալեքսանդեր Խոլդը եւ Ծովահենային կուսակցության կողմից առաջադրված Էնգելբերտ Զոնենբորնը՝ Գերմանիայում հայտնի երգիծաբան Մարտին Զոնենբորնի հայրը:
