Մելանյա Թրամփը կպահպանի Միշել Օբամայի բանջարանոցը

ԱՄՆ-ի առաջին տիկին Մելանյա Թրամփը մտադիր Է պահպանել Սպիտակ տան մերձակա բանջարանոցը, որը խնամում Էր նախորդ առաջին տիկին Միշել Օբաման: Ինչպես լրագրողներին պատմել Է նախագահի տիկնոջ ավագ խորհրդական Սթեֆանի Ուոլքոֆը, ԱՄՆ-ի առաջին տիկինը հետեւելու Է, որ այգու բոլոր անկյունները, այդ թվում՝ նշանավոր Վարդերի պարտեզը եւ ոչ մեծ բանջարանոցն առաջվա պես մեծ հոգատարությամբ խնամվեն: 
2009 թվականին Միշել Օբաման ամերիկացի դպրոցականների հետ միասին բանջարեղենի փոքրիկ մարգեր Է գցել Սպիտակ տան Հարավային բացատում: 
Միշելն ստանձնել Է բանջարանոցի խնամքը եւ ութ տարվա ընթացքում այստեղ աճեցրել բանջարեղեն, կանաչի եւ համեմող մշակաբույսեր՝ բատատ, հազար, բրոկոլի, սպանախ, անանուխ, բազուկ, սոխ, սամիթ, խավարծիլ, ոլոռ եւ դդում: Մարգերի երկայնքով աճում Էին միամյա ծաղիկներ:
Բանջարանոցը դարձավ այն արշավի հիմնական բաղադրիչներից մեկը, որը Միշել Օբաման ծավալել Էր ի պաշտպանություն երեխաների եւ դեռահասների առողջ սննդի, այդ թվում՝ ճարպակալման դեմ պայքարի նպատակնով: Առաջին տիկինը Սպիտակ տան այգում ուսուցողական Էքսկուրսիաներ Էր անցկացնում դպրոցականների համար, իսկ երեխաները նրան օգնում Էին հարուստ բերք հավաքել աշնանը:  
«Ես շատ եմ հպարտանում նրանով, որ այդ ոչ մեծ բանջարանոցը կարելի Է համարել մեր հույսերի խորհրդանիշը, որ Ամերիկան ավելի ու ավելի անվտանգ կլինի երեխաների առողջության տեսակետից,-ասել Է Միշելը:-Ես մեծ հույս ունեմ, որ հաջորդ բոլոր նախագահական ընտանիքները նույնպես կզբաղվեն բանջարանոցի խնամքով», հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
