Թրամփը հավաստել Է, որ ցանկանում Է բարելավել հարաբերությունները Ռուսաստանի հետ

ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփը ԶԼՄ-ներին մեղադրել Է այն բանում, որ Ռուսաստանի հետ իր վարչակազմի կապերի վերաբերյալ հրապարակումները խանգարում են բարելավելու երկու երկրների հարաբերությունները, տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը՝ հղում անելով BBC-ին:
 
«Պուտինը, հավանաբար, այն կարծիքն Է, որ նա այլեւս չի կարող համաձայնության գալ ինձ հետ, քանի որ քաղաքական առումով դա խիստ անշահեկան կլինի քաղաքական գործչի համար»,- հայտարարել Է Թրամփը մամուլի ասուլիսում: 
Նա ասել Է, թե իր համար ավելի դյուրին կլիներ կոշտ քաղաքականություն ընտրել Ռուսաստանի նկատմամբ, բայց ինքն ընտրել Է այն ուղին, որն, իր կարծիքով, համապատասխանում Է ԱՄՆ-ի շահերին:
Թրամփի համոզմամբ՝ արժե լավ հարաբերություններ պահպանել Ռուսաստանի հետ, որովհետեւ երկու երկրները միջուկային զենք ունեն: 
«Ես ոչ մի բան չեմ արել Ռուսաստանի համար,- ասել Է Թրամփը:- Եթե մենք կարողանանք բարելավել հարաբերությունները Ռուսաստանի հետ, դա դրական բան կլինի»:
 
Ավելի վաղ Թրամփը The New York Times թերթից պահանջել Է ներողություն խնդրել իր վարչակազմի դեմ ուղղված եւ հատուկ ծառայությունների գաղտնի տեղեկատվության արտահոսքերի վրա հիմնված նյութեր հրապարակելու համար: «Գաղտնի տեղեկատվության արտահոսքերը եւ նույնիսկ անօրինական արտահոսքերը Վաշինգտոնում մեծ խնդիր են արդեն մի քանի տարի,-նշել Է Սպիտակ տան ղեկավարը:-Ձախողված The New York Times-ը (եւ մյուսները) պետք Է ներողություն խնդրի: Թրամփը հավելել Է, որ նրանք, ովքեր իրականացրել են գաղտնի տեղեկատվության արտահոսքը, «բռնվելու են»: 
Փետրվարի 14-ին  The New York Times թերթի Էլեկտրոնային տարբերակում հրապարակված հոդվածում նշվել Է, թե այն անձինք, որոնք հետագայում ընդգրկվեցին Դոնալդ Թրամփի ընտրական շտաբում, նախքան 2016 թվականի նոյեմբերիին ԱՄՆ-ում կայացած նախագահական ընտրությունները, շփվել են Ռուսաստանի հետախուզական ծառայությունների աշխատակիցների հետ:  
Ամերիկացի չորս գործող եւ նախկին պաշտոնյաների վարկածի համաձայն՝ «հեռախոսային խոսակցությունների եւ որսված հեռախոսազանգերի տվյալները վկայում են, որ 2016 թվականի ընտրություններում Դոնալդ Թրամփի շտաբի անդամները եւ նրա շրջապատի այլ մարդիկ նախքան ընտրությունները մեկ տարվա ընթացքում քանիցս կապի մեջ են մտել Ռուսաստանի հետախուզական ծառայությունների հանգուցային աշխատակիցների հետ, ասվում Է նյութում:
