Խաղաղության հիմնախնդիրների ուսումնասիրության ստոկհոլմյան միջազգային ինստիտուտը (SIPRI) հերթական զեկույցն Է հրապարակել զենքի համաշխարհային առեւտրի վերաբերյալ: Դրանում նշվում Է, որ այդ բնագավառում 2012-ից մինչեւ 2016 թվականն ընկած ժամանակաշրջանում խոշորագույն արտահանողները մնում Էին ԱՄՆ-ը եւ Ռուսաստանը, տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը: 
Խոշորագույն մատակարարներին՝ ԱՄՆ-ին եւ Ռուսաստանին, Չինաստանին, Ֆրանսիային եւ Գերմանիային բաժին Է ընկել սպառազինությունների վաճառքների ընդհանուր ծավալի 74 տոկոսը, ԱՄՆ-ին եւ Ռուսաստանին միասին վերցրած՝ 56 տոկոսը: 
Փաստաթղթում բերված տվյալների համաձայն, 2004 թվականից աշխարհում վաճառքների ծավալն անշեղորեն աճել Է եւ 2012-2016 թվականներին 2007-2011 թվականների համեմատությամբ ավելացել 8,4 տոկոսով: Ընդ որում՝ վերջին հնգամյակը ամենաբարձր ցուցանիշներով Է նշանավորվել սառը պատերազմի ավարտման պահից անցած ողջ ժամանակաշրջանում: Զեկույցի հեղինակները նշում են ռազմական մատակարարումների աճն Ասիայում, Օվկիանիայում, Մերձավոր Արեւելքում եւ դրանց որոշ կրճատումը Եվրոպայում, Հյուսիսային եւ Հարավային Ամերիկայում եւ Աֆրիկայում: Ասիային եւ Օվկիանիային մատակարարումների ծավալը 2007-2011 թվականներից մինչեւ 2012-2016 թվականներն աճել Է 7,7 տոկոսով եւ կազմել համաշխարհային արտահանման 43 տոկոսը:
2012-2016 թվականներին Ռուսաստանի բաժինը կազմել Է զենքի գլոբալ արտահանման 23 տոկոսը: Այդ ծավալի 70 տոկոսը մատակարարվել Է չորս երկրների՝ Հնդկաստանին, Վիետնամին, Չինաստանին եւ Ալժիրին:
2012-2016 թվականներին մատակարարների խմբում առաջին տեղն առաջվա պես զբաղեցնում Է ԱՄՆ-ը, որն այդ ժամանակաշրջանում ռազմական արտահանման ծավալը 2007-2011 թվականների համեմատությամբ ավելացրել Է 21 տոկոսով: Ամբողջ ծավալի գրեթե կեսն ուղարկվել Է Մերձավոր Արեւելք:
«ԱՄՆ-ը զենք Է մատակարարում աշխարհի առնվազն հարյուր պետությունների, ինչը մեծապես ավելի շատ Է, քան մյուս բոլոր արտահանողների դեպքում»,-նշել Է SIPRI-ի զենքի եւ ռազմական ծախսերի գծով ծրագրի տնօրեն Օդ Ֆլյորանը:
Զենքի համաշխարհային առեւտրում Չինաստանի բաժինը 2007-2011 թվականների 3,8 տոկոսից 2012-2016 թվականներին հասել Է 6,2 տոկոսի: Ներկայում երկիրը ռազմական տեխնիկայի հիմնական մատակարարների թվում Է Ֆրանսիայի եւ Գերմանիայի հետ հավասար, որոնց բաժին Է ընկնում համապատասխանաբար 6 տոկոսը եւ 5,6 տոկոսը:
2012-2016 թվականներին զենքի խոշորագույն ներկրողներն են դարձել Հնդկաստանը, Սաուդյան Արաբիան, Արաբական Միացյալ Էմիրությունները, Չինաստանը եւ Ալժիրը: Նրանց բաժին Է ընկել զենքի գնումների 37 տոկոսը: Առաջին տեղում Հնդկաստանն Է՝ ռազմական մատակարարումների համաշխարհային ծավալի 13 տոկոսով: 
2012-2016 թվականներին երկիրն այդ բնագավառում առաջ Է անցել տարածաշրջանային մերձակա մրցակիցներից՝ Չինաստանից եւ Պակիստանից, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
