Անջելինա Ջոլին ներկայացրել է Կամբոջայում ցեղասպանության մասին պատմող իր ֆիլմը

Կամբոջայում ներկայացնելով իր նոր ֆիլմը՝ Անջելինա Ջոլին հայտարարել Է, որ այդ երկրիրն իր համար «զարթոնք» Է դարձել: Դերասանուհին բացառիկ հարցազրույց Է տվել «Նախ նրանք սպանեցին հորս» ֆիլմի՝ ականատեսի, մանկության ժամանակ կարմիր քմերների կազմակերպած ցեղասպանությունը տեսածի պատմության պրեմիերայի նախօրյակին, տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը՝ հղում անելով BBC-ին:
Անջելինայի խոսքով՝ ֆիլմը, որում նա հանդես Է եկել որպես ռեժիսոր, կոչված Է օգնելու Կամբոջայի բնակիչներին բացահայտորեն պատմելու այդ շրջանում ապրած խորը ցնցումների մասին:
Ցեղասպանության ժամանակ այդ երկրում զոհվեց շուրջ 2 միլիոն մարդ:
Ջոլին, որը դարձել Է ՄԱԿ-ի Փախստականների գործերի գերագույն կոմիսարի վարչության հատուկ դեսպանորդը, առաջին անգամ Կամբոջայում եղել Է տակավին 2001 թվականին «Լարա Քրոֆտ. դամբարաններ կողոպտողը» ֆիլմի նկարահանումների ժամանակ:
Ավելի ուշ նա Կամբոջայում որդեգրել Է իր ավագ որդուն՝ Մեդոքսին:
Netflix ընկերության ստեղծած ֆիլմի համաշխարհային պրեմիերան կայացել Է Անգքոր Վաթ տաճարային համալիրում՝ արդի Սիեմրեափ քաղաքից հյուսիս, որտեղ նկարահանվել են «Դամբարաններ կողոպտողի» շատ դրվագներ:
Պրեմիերային Ջոլիի եւ նրա վեց երեխաների հետ մեկտեղ ներկա Էր Կամբոջայի Նորոդոմ Սիամոնի թագավորը, որը 2005 թվականին դերասանուհուն շնորհել Է իր երկրի քաղաքացիություն՝ ի նշան երախտագիտության շրջակա միջավայրի պահպանության այն հիմնադրամի աշխատանքի համար, որի հիմնադիր Է դարձել Ջոլին:
Այդ օրը Ջոլին առաջին անգամ Է հայտնվել հանրության առջեւ այն բանից հետո, երբ անցյալ տարվա հոկտեմբերին ապահարզան Է տվել Բրեդ Փիթին:
