«Հայկական ժամանակ» թերթը գրում է. «Մեր տեղեկություններով, իշխանությունները պատրաստվում են 2015թ. նոյեմբերին վնասազերծված Նորք-Մարաշի զինված խմբի գործով որոշակի բացահայտումներ անել, որոնք առնչվում են պաշտպանության նախկին նախարար Սեյրան Օհանյանի հետ:
Սույն գործի հետագա քննության ընթացքում հրապարակումներ եղան, թե դրա հետեւում կանգնած է Սեյրան Օհանյանը: Եվ հիմա, երբ Օհանյանն ընդդիմադիր դաշինք է գլխավորում եւ քննադատում իշխանություններին, վերջիններս մտածում են՝ չխնայել նրան եւ այդ գործի շրջանակներում առնվազն որոշակի բացահայտումներ անել նրա մասին: Մեր աղբյուրները չեն բացառում, որ գործը կարող է նոր ձերբակալությունների հասնել կամ ընդհուպ մինչեւ պաշտպանության նախկին նախարարին այդ գործում ներգրավել:
Ինչ վերաբերում է զինված խմբի հետ նրա առնչությանը, ապա նրանց միջեւ կապը, ըստ նույն աղբյուրների, պահպանել է պաշտպանության նախկին փոխնախարար Վահան Շիրխանյանը, որը հիմա կալանավայրում է եւ առողջական խնդիրներ ունի եւ առերեսումներից մեկի ժամանակ հայտարարել է, թե Սեյրան Օհանյանին պետք չի խառնել այդ գործին»:
