ՄԱԿ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղարի Սիրիայի հարցերով հատուկ բանագնաց Ստեֆան դե Միստուրան հայտարարել է, որ իրենք չեն կարող թույլ տալ, որ ահաբեկիչները տապալեն Ժնևի բանակցությունները: Ըստ նրա՝ հենց այդ նպատակով էլ հարձակման է ենթարկվել Սիրիայի Հոմս քաղաքը:
Միստուրան խստորեն դատապարտում է սարսափելի ահաբեկչական հարձակումը, որով փորձել են խանգարել ընթացիկ բանակցությունները Սիրիայի հարցով:
«Դուք պետք է միշտ պատրաստ լինեք այն բանին, որ կան բանակցային գործընթացին խոչընդոտողներ», - ասել է հատուկ հանձնարարությունների գծով դեսպանը: «Ի շահ բոլոր սիրիական կողմերի, որոնք դեմ են ահաբեկչությանն ու հավատարիմ քաղաքական գործընթացին Սիրիայում, մենք թույլ չենք տա այդ խոչընդոտողներին հասնել իրենց նպատակին», - ընդգծել է ՄԱԿ-ի պատվիրակը:
Հիշեցնենք, որ նախօրեին ահաբեկչական հարձակման հետևանքով Հոմսի զոհերի թիվը հասել էր 30-ի, իսկ 30-ից ավել մարդ վիրավորվել էր:
