Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հակամարտության կարգավորման համատեքստում ՆԱՏՕ-ն լիովին աջակցում է Մինսկի խմբի շրջանակներում ընթացող գործընթացին: ՀՀ Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանի հետ համատեղ ասուլիսի ընթացքում նման հայտարարությամբ հանդես եկավ ՆԱՏՕ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղար Յենս Ստոլտենբերգը:
«Մենք քննարկել ենք Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հակամարտության հարցը: Ես մտահոգված եմ շփման գծի երկայնքով շարունակական բռնության առնչությամբ, այդ թվում` անցած օրերի ընթացքում: Կարևոր է խուսափել էսկալացիայից, քանի որ այս հակամարտությունը ռազմական լուծում չունի և նրա շարունակականությունը հետ է պահում տարածաշրջանը:
Մենք կոչ ենք անում Հայաստանին ու Ադրբեջանին վերադառնալ բանակցային սեղանի շուրջ և աշխատել Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հակամարտության խաղաղ կարգավորման ուղղությամբ»,- ընդգծել է ՆԱՏՕ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղարը:
Ստոլտենբերգը նաև շնորհակալություն է հայտնել Սերժ Սարգսյանին ՆԱՏՕ-ի կենտրոնակայան այցելելու և սերտ համագործակցության համար: «Կարծում եմ դա դրական է ինչպես Հայաստանի, այնպես էլ ՆԱՏՕ-ի համար»,- ամփոփել է ՆԱՏՕ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղարը:
