ՄԱԿ-ում ծայրաստիճան մտահոգված են Մոսուլի արեւմտյան թաղամասում տիրող հումանիտար իրավիճակով, որտեղ շարունակվում է ԻՊ զինյալներից քաղաքի ազատագրման ռազմական գործողությունը։ Պարենամթերքի համաշխարհային ծրագրից հայտնել են, որ քաղաքի արեւմտյան մասում, որը դեռ մասամբ ԻՊ վերահսկողության տակ է, մոտ 750 հազար բնակիչ կա, հայտնում է ՄԱԿ-ի նորությունների կենտրոնը։
Մոսուլի արեւմուտքում իրավիճակի մասին հավաստի տեղեկությունները սահմանափակ են։ ՊՀԾ աշխատակիցներին հաջողվել է կապվել ընտանիքների հետ, որոնք քաղաքի ներսում են։ Նրանք հայտնում են, որ պարենամթերքը չափից թանկ է ու քիչ։ Բացի դրանից բնակիչները վախենում են դուրս գալ տներից, ինչը նույնպես սահմանափակում է գոնե երեխաների համար սննդամթերք հայթայթելու հնարավորությունները։
ՊՀԾ աշխատակիցները հետեւում են ռազմական իրավիճակին ու պատրաստ են առաջին իսկ հնարավորության դեպքում անհապաղ օգնություն ցուցաբերել բնակիչներին։
Իրաքում ՊՀԾ տնօրեն Սալի Հեյդոկը կոչ է արել հակամարտության բոլոր կողմերին անհապաղ անարգել մուտք ապահովել հումանիտար օգնության համար։
