ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփի վարչակազմը ներկայում ուսումնասիրում Է Փենյանի նկատմամբ հնարավոր քայլերը եւ չի բացառում ԿԺԴՀ-ի դեմ ռազմական ուժի կիրառումը: Այդ մասին, ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը, մարտի 1-ին գրել Է WSJ թերթը:
Նրա տվյալներով՝ ԿԺԴՀ-ի նկատմամբ Սպիտակ տան ռազմավարության քննարկման ընթացքում դիտարկվում Է այդ թվում «ռազմական ուժի կիրառման, ինչպես նաեւ այս երկրում ռեժիմի փոխարինման» հնարավորությունը:
Այդ կապակցությամբ թերթը հիշեցնում Է, որ Թրամփն ավելի վաղ խոստացել Էր Փենյանին խանգարել՝ ավարտելու միջմայրցամաքային բալիստիկ հրթիռի (ՄԲՀ) ստեղծումը, որը կարող Է հասնել ԱՄՆ-ի ափեր: Ինչպես հայտարարում են ԿԺԴՀ-ում, այդ հրթիռի մշակումն արդեն վերջին փուլում Է:
