Հոլանդիայի Ալմելո քաղաքում մարտի 3-ին տեղի է ունեցել Հաագայի Թուրք-ադրբեջանական մշակութային միության նախագահ Իլհամ Աշկինի դատավարությունը։ Ինչպես տեղեկացնում են Հոլանդահայ կազմակերպությունների ֆեդերացիայից, Աշկինը մեղադրվում է հայերի դեմ բռնություն և ատելություն սերմանելու մեջ, քանի որ նա Ալմելո քաղաքում Մեծ Եղեռնի հուշահամալիրի դեմ կազմակերպված թուրքական հանրահավաքի ժամանակ վանկարկել է «Ղարաբաղը լինելու է հայերի գերեզմանը»։

2014 թվականի հունիսի 1-ին Ալմելոյում տեղի է ունեցել հանրահավաք, որին հիմնականում մասնակցում էին թուրքեր և որն ուղղված էր Ալմելոյի Հայ առաքելական եկեղեցու հողամասում տեղադրված Հայոց ցեղասպանության զոհերի հուշահամալիրի դեմ։ Հոլանդահայ կազմակերպությունները, մասնավորապես Հոլանդահայ կազմակերպությունների ֆեդերացիան (FAON) և Հոլանդիայի Հայ Դատի հանձնախումբը գանգատ էին ներկայացրել հանրահավաքի ընթացքում կատարված հակահայ հայտարարությունների դեմ։

Երկու ժամ տևած դատական նիստին ներկա էին բազմաթիվ հայեր եւ թուրքեր, ինչպես նաև հոլանդական, հայ և թուրք ԶՊԾ-ների թղթակիցներ։ Դատավարության ընթացքում ցուցադրվել է ցույցի տեսահոլովակը, որտեղ պարոն Իլհամ Աշկինը մի քանի անգամ վանկարկում է «Ղարաբաղը լինելու է հայերի գերեզմանը», իսկ հավաքվածները կրկնում են այդ արտահայտությունը։
Աշկինը դատարան էր ներկայացել իր փաստաբան Բալասանի հետ։ Աշկինը պատասխանել է դատավորի և դատախազի հարցերին։ Նա հայտարարել է, որ ինքը չի կատարել որեւէ հանցագործություն, քանի որ իր արտահայտությունը վերաբերում է կոնկրետ տարածաշրջանի, որտեղ այժմ իրավիճակն այնպես է, որ հնարավոր է բռնկվի պատերազմ և լինի արյունահեղություն։ Նա համոզված է, որ որևէ սխալ չի գործել։ Այն հարցին, թե արդյոք նա զղջում է իր կատարած արարքից և ցանկանում է ափսոսանք հայտնել, նա պատասխանեց, որ իր տեսակետը չի փոխվել։

Դատախազը մանրակրկիտ ներկայացրել է գործի քննության ընթացքը և դատախազության պահանջների հիմքերը։ Նա պահանջել է մեղադրյալին պատժել 80 ժամ պարտադիր աշխատանքով եւ երկու շաբաթ պայմանական ազատազրկմամբ` երկու տարի փորձական ժամկետի պայմանով։ Սա հանդիսանում է մի ուժեղ ազդանշան։ Դատախազության պահանջը հաշվի է առնում նաև այն փաստը, որ Աշկինը գործին չի ցուցաբել «խոր ըմբռնում և գոյություն ունի հանցագործության ռեցիդիվի վտանգ»։

Դատավճիռը հրապարակվելու է 2017 թ. մարտի 17-ին։
