Սա հազարամյա շլացուցիչ ջրհոր է, որը կառուցվել է հնդիկ թագուհու կողմից՝ իր ամուսնու հիշատակին

Ռանի-կի-Վավը 11-րդ դարի շլացուցիչ, բազմահարկ ջրհոր է, որը գտնվում է հնդկական Գուջարատ նահանգում՝ Սարասվատի գետի ափին՝ Պատան քաղաքում: Ըստ տեղեկությունների՝ այն կառուցել է թագուհի Ուդայամատին՝ իր ամուսնու՝ թագավոր Բհիմադև I-ի հիշատակին:
Ստորգետնյա հսկայական ջրհորն իրենից ներկայացնում է ջրի պահպանման համար նախատեսված հնագույն խոշոր համակարգ: 2014 թ. այն ընդգրկվեց ՅՈՒՆԵՍԿՕ-ի համաշխարհային ժառանգությունների ցանկում:
Պատմությունը
Արևմտյան Հնդկաստանի և Ռաջաստանի շատ շրջաններում ջուրը միշտ էլ չի բավարարել: Կառուցողները ստիպված էին չափազանց խորը խրամատներ փորել՝ կլոր տարին ջուր մատակարարելու համար, և այդ խրամատների պատերը քարե բլոկներով պատրաստել: Իսկ այսպիսի խորությունից ջրի դուրս գալու համար աստիաճանանման երևույթներ կառուցվեցին:
Ջրհորն այն ժամանակ հանգստի կատարյալ վայր էր համարվում, որտեղ հնարավոր էր ապաստան գտնել կիզիչ արևից: Երբեմն այն օգտագործում էին նաև որպես հանդիպումների և ժամադրությունների, ծիսակատարությունների անցկացման վայր:
Դա հնագեցրեց նրան, որ այս ջրհորները վերաճեցին ստորգետնյա հսկայական «մշակույթի տների», փոքր-ինչ ոճափոխվեցին: Ժամանակի ընթացքում վերանվանվեցին Մարու-Գուրջարա:
Կուսակրոն Մերուտունգի Սուրիի «Պրաբանդհա Չինտամանի» (1304 թ.) գրքում ասվում է, որ ջրհորների կառուցումը սկսել է հենց ինքը՝ թագուհի Ուդայամատին, իսկ ավարտին է հասցրել նրա որդի, հետագայում թագավոր Կարնադևա I-ը:
Ճարտարապետական կառուցվածքը
Թագուհու ջրհորները համարվում են Սոլանկի դինաստիայի ճարտարապետության վառ նմուշ: Դրանք կառուցվել են ոչ միայն իրենց ուղիղ, այլ նաև այլ սոցիալական նպատակներով: Փաստացի այն կառուցվել է հակառակ դրված տաճարի (64 մ x 20 մ) տեսքով՝ ջրի մաքրությունն ու սրբությունը պահպանելու համար: Բարձրությունը 27 մ էր կամ 27 հարկ: Ջրհորից պահպանվել է երկար աստիճան-միջանցքը, որը տանում էր դեպի ջրմաբարի խորքը:
Կառույցը բազմահարկանի շենքի տեսք ունի, որը բաժանված է շատ տաղավարների: Ներքին բոլոր պատերը զարդարված են շլացուցիչ փորագրություններով և զարդաքանդակներով, շուրջ 800 արձաններով, որոնք հիմնականում հինդուիստական հին աստվածների և աստվածուհիների կերպարներով են:
Չնայած որ քանդակներից և տաղավարներից որոշները չեն պահպանվել, Ռանի-կի-Վավը, միևնույնն է, հիացնում է իր ճարտարապետական հրաշագեղությամբ և ջրային ռեսուրսների պահպանման համակարգով:
