Ներկայացնում ենք թերթի առաջնորդողից մի հատված.

«Չենք կասկածում, իհարկե, հայկական զինված ուժերի մարտունակությանը, վստահ ենք, որ պատերազմի դեպքում հաղթանակը կամրագրենք երկրորդ անգամ։ Բայց հաղթանակը միայն ճակատամարտում հաղթելը չէ, հաղթելու համար միայն սպառազինությունն ու հայրենասիրությունը բավարար չեն։ Հաղթանակի, իրակա՛ն հաղթանակի համար նույնքան կարևոր է երկրում, հասարակության մեջ տիրող» բարոյահոգեբանական մթնոլորտը, որը, ինչպես ամենադիպուկը բնորոշել է Սերժ Սարգսյանը, մեղմ ասած՝ գաղջ է։ Գաղջ է, որովհետև օրենքի առաջ բոլորը հավասար չեն, գաղջ է, որովհետև իշխանությունն ու իշխանության հետ ամենահեռավոր առնչություններ ունեցողներն անգամ վեր են օրենքներից ու իշխանության հետ առնչություն չունեցողներից, որովհետև տնտեսությունը, հասարակական բարիքը բաշխված է մի քանի արտոնյալների միջև, գաղջ է, որովհետև պետական պարգևներ ու կոչումներ են ստանում նրանք, ովքեր կիլոմետրերով հեռու են պետությունից ու պետականությունից, արվեստից ու մշակույթից... Այս ցանկը երկար կարելի է շարունակել։

 Խնդիրն այն է, սակայն, որ Հայաստանը՝ ունենալով պատերազմում հաղթելու բավարար ռազմական պոտենցիալ, չունի այդ հաթանակի համար անհրաժեշտ բարոյահոգեբանական պոտենցիալը, որը մսխվել է զինադադարին հաջորդած ավելի քան քսան տարիների ընթացքում։ Ու երբ խոսք է գնում հնարավոր պատերազմի մասին, մենք պետք է մտածենք ոչ միայն ու գուցե ոչ այնքան՝ սպառազինության քանակի ու որակի, բանակի զինվածության մասին, որքան Հայաստանում առկա արժեքային համակարգի դեգրադացվածությունը, ներկայիս քաղաքական ու տնտեսական վերնախավը «զինաթափելու» մասին։ Արտաքին թշնամուց բացի ու գուցե դրանից առաջ՝ ներքին թշնամուն հաղթելու մասին, մի խոսքով։ Որպեսզի, Աստված մի արասցե, պատերազմի դեպքում այն պատերազմ լինի բոլորի համար, և ոչ թե՝ բոլորի համար, բացառությամբ՝ «ընտրյալների»»,–գրում է թերթը։
