Հայաստանը բարձր է գնաահատում Շվեդիայի հավասարակշռված մոտեցումը Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հակամարտության խաղաղ կարգավորման հարցում: Այս մասին ընդգծել է աշխատանքային այցով ԱՄՆ-ում գտնվող ՀՀ Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանը, ով սեպտեմբերի 28-ին Նյու Յորքում հանդիպում է ունեցել Շվեդիայի Թագավորության վարչապետ Ստեֆան Լյովենի հետ: ՀՀ Նախագահը բարձր է գնահատել հայ-շվեդական համա գործակցությունը, որը, ըստ նրա, վերջին տարիներին նկատելի զարգացում է արձանագրել՝ նշանավորվելով արտաքին գերատեսչությունների ղեկավարների ակտիվ երկխոսությամբ, դեսպանությունների բացմամբ, բազմաբնույթ փոխայցերի իրականացմամբ:

ՀՀ Նախագահը և Շվեդիայի վարչապետը հայ-շվեդական համագործակցության օրակարգում կարևոր տեղ են վերապահել Հայաստան-ԵՄ հարաբերություններին և փոխգործակցությանը: Հանրապետության Նախագահն ընդգծել է Շվեդիայի՝ որպես Արևելյան գործընկերության համահեղինակ երկրի դերակատարումը Հայաստան-ԵՄ հարաբերությունների ամրապնդման գործում:

Զրուցակիցները նշել են երկկողմ առևտրատնտեսական կապերի զարգացման անհրաժեշտությունը` ընդգծելով, որ այդ ոլորտում արձանագրված ցուցանիշներն այսօր, ցավոք, դեռևս չեն համապատասխանում Հայաստանի և Շվեդիայի տնտեսական փոխգործակցության առկա մեծ ներուժին, որի ամբողջական բացահայտման համար, կողմերի համոզմամբ, անհրաժեշտ է պետական մակարդակով խթանել փոխադարձ շփումները, տեղեկատվության փոխանակումը, ձևավորել իրավական լիարժեք բազա, կազմակերպել գործարար համաժողովներ:

Կողմերն անդրադարձել են նաև միջազգային կազմակերպությունների շրջանակներում համագործակցությանը վերաբերող հարցերի:

Սերժ Սարգսյանը և Ստեֆան Լյովենը կարևորել են բարեկամ երկու երկրների միջև խորհրդարանական համագործակցության ակտիվացումը:
