Վերջին տասնամյակներում առաջին անգամ Կանանց միջազգային օրն ամերիկուհիներն ակտիվ մասնակցություն են ունեցել փողոցային երթերին: Մարտի 8-ին գենդերային անհավասարության դեմ «Օրն առանց կնոջ» կարգախոսով ցույցեր են տեղի ունեցել ամբողջ Ամերիկայում, դրանց մասնակցել են տասնյակ հազարավոր մարդիկ, տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը:    
Մասնավորապես, հանրահավաքներ են կայացել ԱՄՆ-ի ամենախոշոր քաղաքներում՝ Նյու Յորքում, Սան Ֆրանցիսկոյում եւ Լոս Անջելեսում (Կալիֆոռնիայի նահանգ), Ֆիլադելֆիայում եւ Փիտսբուրգում (Փենսիլվանիա), Սանկտ Պետերբուրգում (Ֆլորիդա), Փորտլենդում (Օրեգոն), երկրի մայրաքաղաքում եւ այլ քաղաքներում ու նահանգներում: Առանձին դասադուլներ եւ երթեր են կազմակերպել բարձրագույն ուսումնական հաստատությունները, այդ թվում՝ Նյու Ջերսիի նահանգի Ռաթգերսի համալսարանը: Տղամարդկանց եւ կանանց հավասարության վերաբերյալ Մարտի 8-ի ավանդական կարգախոսների հետ մեկտեղ ցուց արար կանայք հանդես են եկել քաղաքական հայտարարություններով եւ համերկրային իշխանությունների քննադատությամբ:   
ԱՄՆ-ի վերջին մարդահամարի համաձայն՝ կանայք կազմում են երկրի ամբողջ աշխատուժի ավելի քան 47 տոկոսը: Բուժքույրերի, գանձապահների, հաշվապահների եւ դեղագործների  մեծամասնությունը կանայք են: Ըստ որում ամերիկուհիները կազմում են բժիշկների, վիրաբույժների, իրավաբանների ու դատավորների առնվազն մեկ երրորդը: Բուհերի բոլոր ուսանողների ավելի քան կեսը  աղջիկներ են:   
Միեւնույն ժամանակ նույնական աշխատանքի դիմաց կինն ստանում Է տղամարդու աշխատավարձի մակարդակի ընդամենն 80 տոկոսը: 2015 թվականին ամերիկուհիների միջին եկամուտը կազմել Է տարեկան 40 հազար դոլարից փոքր-ինչ ավելի՝ տղամարդկանց 51 հազար դոլարի համեմատությամբ, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
