Samsung հարավկորեական կորպորացիայի փաստական ղեկավար Լի Չժե Յոնը, որին կաշառակերության մեջ են կասկածում 2015 թվականին ընկերության երկու մասնաճյուղերի միաձուլման ընթացքում, մերժում Է բոլոր մեղադրանքները, որոնք նրան առաջադրվել են Սեուլի դատարանում կայացած լսումների ընթացքում: Այդ մասին, ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը՝ հղում անելով Reuters գործակալությանը, հայտարարել Է նրա փաստաբանը:
Լի Չժե Յոնն ինքը ներկա չի եղել գործով նախնական դատալսմանը, նրա շահերը ներկայացնում Էր պաշտպանությունը:
Ավելի վաղ Հարավային Կորեայի դատարանը հավանություն Է տվել Լի Չժե Յոնի ձերբակալման մասին դատախազության պահանջին, ինչից հետո նա կալանքի տակ Է վերցվել: Արձագանքելով դրան՝ Samsung-ի ղեկավարությունը կարճ հայտարարություն Է տարածել, որում նշվում Է, թե ընկերությունը «անհրաժեշտ բոլոր ջանքերը կգործադրի՝ համոզվելու, որ ամբողջ ճշմարտությունը կբացահայտվի» դատաքննության ընթացքում:
Հետաքննության վարկածի համաձայն, հենց Լի Չժե Յոնն Է որոշում ընդունել Չխվե Սուն Սիլին՝ երկրի նախագահի պաշտոնից հեռացված Պակ Կըն Հեի մտերիմ ընկերուհուն ֆինանսական աջակցություն ցուցաբերելու մասին՝ ավելի արդյունավետ բիզնես վարելու համար իշխանությունների կողմից տարբեր զիջումների դիմաց: Մասնավորապես, կորպորացիան ավելի քան 18 մլն դոլար Է փոխանցել Գերմանիայում գրանցված ֆիրմայի հաշվին, որը պատկանում Էր Չխվե Սուն Սիլին եւ նրա դստերը՝ իբր այդ ընկերության կողմից ցուցաբերված խորհրդատվական ծառայությունների համար, ինչպես նաեւ խոշոր միջոցներ Է տրամադրել ստեղծված ոչ պետական հիմնադրամներին, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
