 «Ռուսաստանը գլոբալ քաղաքականությունում» ամսագրի գլխավոր խմբագիր, քաղաքական վերլուծաբան Ֆյոդոր Լուկյանովը կարևորում է Հայաստանի միջնորդությամբ Եվրասիական տնտեսական համագործակցությունը Իրանի հետ: Երևանում միջազգային երկխոսության «Վալդայ» ակումբի արտագնա նիստի շրջանակներում լրագրողների հետ զրույցում Լուկյանովն ընդգծեց, որ Հայաստանի համար Իրանը կարևոր գործընկեր է՝ կարծիք հայտնելով, որ Հայաստանի մջոցով Իրանը դեպի Եվրասիական տնտեսական միություն կնայի: «Թվում էր՝ մեկ տարի առաջ Իրանի շուրջ դրությունը դեպի լավացում է գնում, բայց հիմա, կարծես, ամեն ինչ հետ է փոխվում: ԱՄՆ-ը նորից խոսում է Իրանի նկատմամբ  սանկցիաների մասին: Ես չեմ ասում, որ սա պատերազմի կհանգեցնի, բայց այն, որ Իրանի շուրջ նորից անորոշություն է ստեղծվում, ակնհայտ է: Հայաստանի համար Իրանը կարևոր գործընկեր է, և կարծում եմ, որ Հայաստանի միջոցով Իրանը կնայի դեպի ԵԱՏՄ»,- «Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ՝ ասաց նա:

Լուկյանովը նաև հավելեց, որ Ռուսաստանի կողմից 2000-ականների առաջ քաշած գաղափարը եվրասիական ինտեգրացիայի վերաբերյալ տրանսֆորմացիայի ենթարկվեց՝ Եվրամիության ճգնաժամի, Ուկրաինայի ճգնաժամի, Մերձավոր Արևելքում տիրող իրավիճակի, ԱՄՆ վարչակազմի փոփոխության և մի շարք այլ գործոնների հետևանքով: «Հիմա խոսքը եվրասիական համընդհանուր տնտեսական միության ստեղծման մասին է: Սա ավելի լայն հնարավորություններ է բացում, ավելի մեծ հեռանկարներ: ԵԱՏՄ-ն հիմա առնչություն ունի չինական ծրագրերի հետ, օրինակ, իսկ սա այլ մասշտաբ է: Միաժամանակ, ամեն երկիր ինքը պտք է աշխատի, հույս չդնի մյուսի վրա, որպեսզի իր տեղը գտնի այս մեծ նոր ներկապնակում: Հայաստանն այս առումով խնդիրներ ունի, բայց կարծում եմ, որ իր տեղը կգտնի»,- եզրափակեց Ֆյոդոր Լուկյանովը:
