Դերասան Վարդան Պետրոսյանն ազատ է արձակվել: Այս տեղեկությունը Yerkir.am-ի հետ զրույցում հատատեց Պետրոսյանի փաստաբան Նիկոլայ Բաղդասարյանը՝ հերքելով այսօր տարածված այն տեղեկությունը, թե իբր նրա նկատմամբ համաներում է կիրառվել:

Նրա խոսքով՝ Վարդան Պետրոսյանը պայմանական վաղաժամկետ ազատ արձակվելու խնդրանքով դիմել էր «Նուբարաշեն» ՔԿՀ-ին, որից հետո ՔԿՀ-ն նիստ էր գումարել և դրանկան որոշում կայացրել: Այնուհետև «Անկախ հանձանաժողովը» դրական եզրակացություն էր տվել, իսկ դատրանը որոշում կայացրել բավարարելու վաղաժամկետ ազատ արձակվելու վերաբերյալ միջնորդությունը:

Բաղդասարյանի խոսքով՝ Վարդան Պետրոսյանն այսուհետ ազատ է և հանգիստ կարող է դուրս գալ ՀՀ տարածքից:

Հիշեցնենք, որ Վարդան Պետրոսյանն անազատության մեջ է 2013թ. նոյեմբերից:

Վարդան Պետրոսյանի մասնակցությամբ վթարը տեղի էր ունեցել 2013-ի հոկտեմբերի 20-ին Եղվարդ–Երևան ավտոճանապարհին: Պետրոսյանին մեղադրանք էր առաջադրվել Քրեական օրենսգրքի 242-րդ հոդվածի 3-րդ մասով` ճանապարհային երթևեկության կամ տրանսպորտային միջոցների շահագործման կանոնները խախտելը, որն անզգուշությամբ առաջացրել է երկու կամ ավելի մարդու մահ։

2015թ. հունվարի 29-ին Կոտայքի մարզի ընդհանուր իրավասության առաջին ատյանի դատավոր Վաղինակ Մկրտչյանի դատավճռով՝ Վարդան Պետրոսյանը դատապարտել էր 5 տարվա ազատազրկման և երկու տարով զրկվելտրանսպորտային միջոց վարելու իրավունքից։ 2015թ սեպտեմբերից նա տեղափոխվել է պատժի կրման բաց ռեժիմ
