 Իրանի Մեջլիսում մարտի 12-ին տեղի ունեցավ Իրանում Հայաստանի արտակարգ և լիազոր դեսպան Արտաշես Թումանյանի հանդիպումն Իրան-Հայաստան բարեկամության խորհրդարանական խմբի նախագահ Ռամեզանալի Սոբհանիֆարի և մի շարք անդամների հետ: Այս մասին «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ արտաքին գործերի նախարարության մամուլի, տեղեկատվության և հասարակայնության հետ կապի վարչությունից:

Հանդիպման ընթացքում Ռամեզանալի Սոբհանիֆարը ներկայացրեց Մեջլիսի գործունեությունը, մասնավորապես, միջխորհրդարանական հարաբերությունների շրջանակներում աշխատանքները:

Դեսպան Թումանյանը կարևորեց երկու երկրների խորհրդարանների համագործակցությունը և ներկայացրեց երկկողմ հարաբերություններում առկա վերջին զարգացումները:

Կողմերն անդրադարձան վիզային ռեժիմի վերացմանը, ինչպես նաև զբոսաշրջության ոլորտի զարգացման, տնտեսական և մշակութային կապերի խորացման հարցերին և այդ բնագավառներում խորհրդարանական դիվանագիտության կարևոր դերին:

Զրույցի ընթացքում դեսպան Թումանյանն իր զրուցակիցներին ներկայացրեց Մեղրիում՝ հայ-իրանական սահմանի մերձակայքում, ազատ տնտեսական գոտու ստեղծման ծրագրի որոշ մանրամասներ և պատգամավորներին կոչ արեց իրենց ընտրատարածքներում երկկողմ տնտեսական ծրագրերի մասին իրազեկվածության հարցերում աջակցել գործարար շրջանակներին:

Կողմերը վստահություն հայտնեցին, որ Հայաստանի Հանրապետությունում կայանալիք Ազգային ժողովի ընտրություններից հետո նոր թափով կվերսկսվեն երկու երկրների միջխորհրդարանական աշխատանքները:
