Ապրիլյան պատերազմի ընթացքում հայ զինծառայողների և քաղաքացիական անձանց իրավունքների պաշտպանության հետ կապված ընդդեմ Ադրբեջանի 700-ից ավելի հայց է ներկայացվել Մարդու իրավունքների եվրոպական դատարան: «Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ` այս մասին մարտի 16-ին լրագրողների հետ հանդիպման ընթացքում ասաց Մարդու իրավունքների եվրոպական դատարանում ՀՀ կառավարության լիազոր ներկայացուցիչ, ՀՀ նախագահի խորհրդական Գևորգ Կոստանյանը: Նրա խոսքով՝ ՀՀ կառավարությունը պաշտոնապես ծանուցվել է եվրոպական դատարանի կողմից:
«Մենք արդեն պաշտոնապես ներգրավված ենք այդ դատավարություններում՝ որպես երրորդ կողմ: Դեռևս ժամանակ ունենք, և ներկայացնելու ենք մեր դիրքորոշումն այս հարցերի վերաբերյալ»,- ասաց Կոստանյանը:
Նա նաև տեղեկացրեց, որ Ադրբեջանի կառավարությունը միառժամանակ առաջ ևս հայտարարել էր այն մասին, որ շուրջ 500-600 հայց են ներկայացրել ընդդեմ Հայաստանի: Կոստանյանի խոսքով՝ Ադրբեջանը կարող է ավելի մեծ թիվ էլ ներկայացնել: Սա հարցի մյուս կողմն է, սակայն այս պահի դրությամբ ընդդեմ Հայաստանի ներկայացված գործերում Հայաստանը ծանուցում է ստացել Ադրբեջանի կողմից ներկայացված ընդամենը 5 գործով:
«Այսինքն՝ եվրոպական դատարանի կողմից Հայաստանի դեմ ներկայացված գործերով դեռևս 5 գործ են վարույթ ընդունվել, իսկ Ադրբեջանի դեմ ներկայացված գործերից արդեն վարույթ են ընդունվել 23 գործ»:
