Մաշկի երիտասարդացման մեթոդները տարբեր են լինում: Դրանցից շատերն այնքան արդյունավետ են, որ ապշեցնում են նույնիսկ մասնագետներին: Նման արդյունավետ մեթոդներից մեկը սննդի համար նախատեսված պոլիէթիլենային թաղանթի օգնությամբ մաշկը երիտասարդացնող պրոցեդուրան է: Այս մեթոդը կիրառում են ճապոնուհիները, որոնք հայտնի են իրենց գեղեցիկ ու առողջ մաշկով:

Այս մեթոդը կիրառողները դեմքի մաշկը ծածկում են սննդի համար նախատեսված պոլիէթիլենային թաղանթով, ինչի արդյունքում այն սկսում է քրտնել և հեղուկ արտազատել, որն էլ նպաստում է մաշկի ծակոտիների լայնացմանը:

Եթե մաշկի ծակոտիները բաց են, ապա այդ պրոցցեդուրայից հետո ցանկացած կոսմետիկ միջոց (նրբաքսուք, գել, շիճուկ և այլն) շատ ավելի խորը կներթափանցի, ինչը կնպաստի կոլագենի արտադրմանը: Հենց այս պատճառով այս մեթոդի կողմնակիցները խորհուրդ են տալիս անմիջապես այս պրոցեդուրայից հետո օգտագործել ջրով, խոնավեցնող լոսյոնով ու երիտասարդացնող շիճուկով դիմակ:

Նրանք վստահեցնում են, որ նման դիմակներն ունենում են բոտոքսի ազդեցություն, իսկ ջուրը հենց այն բաղադրիչն է, որն օգնում է պայքարել ծերացման դեմ: Հարկ է նշել նաև, որ նույն պոլիէթիլենային թաղանթը մաշկաբաններն օգտագործում են պսորիազի ծանր դեպքերի բուժման համար, քանի որ դրա շնորհիվ քսուքները ներթափանցում են մաշկի ավելի խորը շերտերը և ավելի լավ ազդեցություն են ունենում:
