ՄԱԿ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղար Պան Գի Մունը հայտարարել է, որ կազմակերպության Անվտանգության խորհրդի հինգ մշտական անդամները պետք է հանգուցային դեր խաղան Սիրիայում, Եմենում եւ Հարավային Սուդանում հակամարտությունների կարգավորման գործում: Նա ակնկալում է, որ Սիրիայի խնդրում «հնգյակը» կարող է միասնական դիրքորոշման գալ:
Ինչպես հաղորդել է ՄԱԿ-ի մամուլի ծառայությունը, Պան Գի Մունը սեպտեմբերի 29-ին հանդիպում է ունեցել Ֆրանսիայի, Ռուսաստանի, Մեծ Բրիտանիայի ԱԳ նախարարներ Լորան Ֆաբիուսի, Սերգեյ Լավրովի, Ֆիլիպ Համոնդի եւ ԱՄՆ-ի պետքարտուղար Ջոն Քերիի հետ:
Նշվում է, որ հանդիպման ընթացքում հիմնական ուշադրությունը հատկացվել է Սիրիային, ինչպես նաեւ Եմենին եւ Հարավային Սուդանին:
«Գլխավոր քարտուղարն ընդգծել է, որ ինքը հանգուցային է համարում ՄԱԿ-ի ԱԽ-ի հինգ մշտական անդամների դերը բոլոր երեք հակամարտությունների կարգավորմանն ուղղված միջազգային ջանքերում: Նա, մասնավորապես, ակնկալում է, որ նրանք՝ որպես մշտական անդամներ, կշարունակեն միասնական դիրքորոշման հասնելու ջանքերը, ինչը չափազանց կարեւոր կլիներ Սիրիայում ողբերգական փակուղուց դուրս գալու համար»,- ասված է ՄԱԿ-ի մամուլի ծառայության հայտարարության մեջ, հաղորդել է ՌԻԱ Նովոստին:
