ԱՄՆ Հելնսինկյան կոմիտեն կոչ է արել Ադրբեջանին ազատ արձակել քաղբանտարկյալներին

Միացյալ Նահանգների Հելսինկյան կոմիտեն կոչ է արել Ադրբեջանի կառավարությունը Նովրուզի տոնին անմիջապես ազատ արձակել բոլոր քաղբանտարկյալներին և հարգել ԵԱՀԿ շրջանակում ստանձնած հանձնառությունները մարդու իրավունքների, ժողովրդավարության և օրենքի գերակայության ոլորտում:

«Հիասթափեցնող է, որ Նովրուզին շնորհված մի քանի հարյուր համաներման արդյունքում նախագահ Ալիևն ազատ արձակեց շատ փոքր թվով քաղբանտարկյալների: ԵԱՀԿ անդամ պետությունները պարտավորվում են հարգել խոսքի ազատությունը, այդ թվում և տեղեկատվության ու տեսակետների փոխանակման ազատությունը` բացառելով իշխանությունների միջամտությունը: Ադրբեջանի կառավարությունը պետք է հետևողական լինի ստանձնած հանձնառությանը` ազատ արձակելով ընդդիմադիր գործիչներին, քաղաքացիական ակտիվիստներին, լրագրողներին և կրոնական առաջնորդներին, ովքեր ներկայում բանտում են իրենց իրավունքների խաղաղ իրացման համար»,- «Արմենպրես»-ի փոխանցմամբ` նշել է Հելսինկյան կոմիտեի նախագահ սենատոր Ռոջեր Ուիքերը: Նա ընդգծել է, որ ասվածը, մասնավորապես, վերաբերում է նախագահի նախկին թեկնածու Իլգար Մամեդովին, ով արդեն հինգ տարի է` բանտում է քաղաքական հետապնդումների պատճառով:

«Նախագահ Ալիևի համաներումներից հետո մարդու իրավունքների տասնյակ ակտիվիստներ, լրագրողներ և քաղբանտարկյալներ տանջվում են բանտերում և ենթարկվում վատ վերաբերմունքի: Կոչ եմ անում Ալիևին իր երկրում հարգել մարդու իրավունքներն ու ժողովրդավարությունը, անմիջապես ազատ արձակել քաղբանտարկյալներին»,- նշել է Հելսինկյան կոմիտեի համանախագահ Քրիս Սմիթը:

Ադրբեջանի նախագահի կարգադրությամբ 2017 թվականին համաներում է շնորհվել 400 բանտարկյալի, որոնցից միայն չորսն են քաղբանտարկյալ:
