Եվրոպայում հայկական ներկայությունը ձգվում է Լոնդոնից Լառնակա, Լիսաբոնից Լվով. հայկական կաթոլիկ Մխիթարյանների միաբանությունն այդ ժառանգության ամենաազդեցիկ օրինակներից է, այն այս տարի նշում է իր 300-ամյա ներկայությունը Եվրոպայի ամենահայտնի քաղաքներից մեկում: Ինչպես հաղորդում է «Արմենպրես»-ը՝ այս մասին & laquo;Վենետիկի հայկական կղզին» խորագրով հոդվածում գրում է Euronews կայքը:
Ներկայացնելով Մխիթարյան միաբանության հիմնադրման պատմությունը` լրատվամիջոցը նշում է, որ միաբանության հայրերը առհասարակ Եվրոպայում, իսկ, մասնավորապես, նաև հայկական աշխարհում մեծ ազդեցություն են ունեցել հետազոտությունների, կրթության և տպագրության գործում: Մինչ օրս Մխիթարյանների հիմնած վանական համալիրն աշխարհում երկու քաղաքներից մեկն է, որը կարող է գլուխ գովել արդեն երեք հարյուր տարուց ավել ամեն տարի առնվազն մեկ հայերեն գիրք հրատարակելու առնչությամբ: Այս վանականների ջանքերով նշանավոր եվրոպական գործերի թարգմանություններով, հնագու յն ձեռագրերի առաջին տպագրություններով կամ այլ ճանապարհով հայկական ժառանգությունը ցույց է տրվել Եվրոպային, և նմանապես Եվրոպան հասանելի է դարձել հայերին՝ նրանց գործունեության շնորհիվ:
«Մխիթարյան միաբանությունը մշտապես ծառայել է որպես կամուրջ` կապելով հայկական իրականությունը եվրոպական աշխարհի հետ` գիտության և հոգևոր ոլորտում, ինչպես նաև կամրջել է համամարդկային արժեքները. այն Արևմուտքում Արևելքի ներկայացուցիչն է և արևմտյան գաղափարներն արևելյանի վերածողը»,- նշել է հայր Սերոբ Չամուրլյանը:
«Սուրբ Ղազարի հեղինակությունն այնքան մեծ էր, որ անգամ Նապոլեոն Բոնապարտն այդ վանական համալիրին գործունեությունը շարունակելու հատուկ թույլտվություն տրամադրեց` այն դեպքում, երբ նա 1810 թվականին Վենետիկում փակել էր մյուս կրոնական կառույցները: Մի քանի տարի անց կղզու ամենահայտնի հյուրը` լորդ Բայրոնը,1816-1817 թվականներին մի քանի ամիս անցկացրեց հայերենի ուսումնասիրման վրա»,- գրում է Euronews-ը:
Լրատվամիջոցը նշում է, որ թեպետ Մխիթարյան միաբանությունն այսօր այնքան ակտիվ չէ, որքան նախկինում, ավելի քիչ անդամներով և ավելի աշխարհիկ գլոբալ միջավայրում աճող մարտահրավերներով, սակայն նրա ջանքերով շարունակում են չորս վարժարան գործել Բեյրութում, Լոս Անջելեսում, Բուենոս Այրեսում ու Ստամբուլում: Կրթահամալիր է գործում նաև Երևանում:
