Սիրիայի հյուսիսի Ռաքայի նահանգում առնվազն 33 խաղաղ բնակիչներ են զոհվել ԱՄՆ-ի գլխավորած միջազգային հակաահաբեկչական կոալիցիայի ուժերի ավիահարվածի հետեւանքով: Ինչպես հայտնել Է «Ֆրանսպրես» գործակալությունը, ռումբերն ընկել են դպրոցի շենքի վրա, որը վերաբնակների ու փախստականների ապաստան Էր ծառայում, տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը:
Միջադեպը տեղի Է ունեցել մարտի 21-ին: Ավիահարվածը հասցվել Է «Իսլամական պետություն» ահաբեկչական խմբավորման զինյալների ձեռքում գտնվող Էլ Մանսուր բնակավայրի հարավում:
Կոալիցիայի ռազմաօդային ուժերը աջակցություն են ցուցաբերում «Դեմոկրատական Սիրիայի ուժերի» արաբա-քրդական կազմավորումներին, որոնք հարձակում են ծավալել Ռաքայի վրա: Սիրիայում ԻՊ-ի գլխավոր հենակետի դեմ «Եփրատի ցասումը» կոդային անվանումը կրող գործողությունն սկսվել Է անցյալ տարվա նոյեմբերին: Դրանում գործի են դրված 30 հազար մարտիկներ:
Ռաքան, որը գտնվում Է Եփրատ գետի ափին՝ Հալեպից 160 կիլոմետր հարավ-արեւելք, ԻՊ-ի ելուզակախմբերի կողմից գրավվել Էր 2013 թվականի մարտին եւ խմբավորման պարագլուխ Աբու Բաքր ալ Բաղդադիի կողմից 2014 թվականի ամռանը հռչակվել «խալիֆայության մայրաքաղաք»: Քաղաքում 300 հազար մարդ Է ապրում: Փորձագետների գնահատումների համաձայն, այնտեղ կարող են գտնվել 3-ից մինչեւ 4 հազար զինյալներ, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
