Լոնդոնում՝ խորհրդարանի շենքի մոտ, մարտի 22-ին տեղի ունեցած ահաբեկչության զոհերի թիվը հասել է 5-ի՝ ներառյալ ահաբեկիչը: Ինչ վերաբերում է վիրավորներին, ապա նրանց թիվը հասնում է մոտ 40-ի
Բրիտանական The Guardian պարբերականի փոխանցմամբ՝ հարձակվողը Վեսթմինսթերյան կամրջի վրա միտումնավոր մեքենայի տակ է գցել 2 հոգու, ինչից հետո, դանակով զինված, փորձել է ներխուժել խորհրդարանի շենք:
Նա դանակահարել է անզեն ոստիկանին, ինչից հետո իրավապահները վնասազերծել են տղամարդուն:
Ոստիկանության նախնական տվյալներով՝ իսլամիստական գաղափարախոսության հետևորդ ահաբեկիչը գործել է միայնակ: Իրավապահներին արդեն հաջողվել է պարզել նրա ինքնությունը, այժմ նրանք փորձում են գտնել հնարավոր հանցակիցներին:
Վարչապետ Թերեզա Մեյը տեղի ունեցածը որակել է որպես «զզվելի ու անբարոյական արարք»՝ ընդգծելով, որ այն չի կարող թուլացնել բրիտանական արժեքները: Նա նաև ասել է, որ երկրի խորհրդարանը հինգշաբթի կշարունակի իր բնականոն աշխատանքը:
Մինչդեռ Լոնդոնի քաղաքապետ Սադիք Խանը նշել է, որ լոնդոնցիներին հնարավոր չէ վախեցնել այսպիսի ահաբեկչական գործողություններով:
Միացյալ Նահանգների նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփն ահաբեկչությունից հետո հեռախոսազրույց է ունեցել Մեյի հետ ու աջակցություն խոստացել Մեծ Բրիտանիայի կառավարությանը՝ ահաբեկչությանը համարժեք պատասխան տալու հարցում:
Կանադայի, Ֆրանսիայի, Գերմանիայի, Իսպանիայի և մի շարք այլ պետությունների ղեկավարներն արդեն իրենց ցավակցությունն ու համերաշխությունն են հայտնել Մեծ Բրիտանիային:
Հաղորդվում է, որ այժմ Լոնդոնում ուժեղացվել են անվտանգության միջոցառումները:
