Հայաստանի եւ Արցախի անվտանգությունը մեր թիվ մեկ խնդիրն է: Այս մասին, այսօր՝ մարտի 25-ին, Արցախում զինծառայողների եւ նրանց ընտանիքի անդամների առջեւ իր ելույթի ժամանակ հայտարարել է ՀՀ նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանը:
Նա, իր ելույթում, մասնավորապես, նշել է.
«Հասարակության յուրաքանչյուր անդամ կարող է վստահ լինել. չենք խնայել ու չենք խնայելու որեւէ ջանք ու միջոց եւ նաեւ հնարավորություն՝ ավելի ամրապնդելու մեր անվտանգությունը, համալրելու այն նոր բաղադրիչներով: Մեր երկրի զարգացմանն ուղղված արտաքին բարենպաստ պայմանների ապահովմանն ուղղված ջանքերին զուգահեռ մենք շարունակելու ենք մեր զինված ուժերի արդիականացման, մարտունակության էլ ավելի բարձրացման, նորագույն ու համարժեք սպառազինություններով համալրման մեր, ըստ էության, այլընտրանք էլ չունեցող քաղաքականությունը:
Այո, միջազգային միջնորդների հետ միասին մենք շարունակելու ենք մեր ջանքերը՝ հասնելու արցախյան հիմնախնդրի խաղաղ ու արժանապատիվ կարգավորմանը, կարգավորում, որը կարձանագրի Արցախի ժողովրդի՝ իր պատմական հայրենիքում ազատ ապրելու եւ արարելու անխախտ ու անվիճարկելի իրավունքը եւ կերաշխավորի տեւական ու կայուն խաղաղություն: Բայց մենք մեր ոչ վաղ անցյալից, ապրիլյան պատերազմից գիտենք, թե սահմանի հակառակ կողմում ինչպիսի մտածողություն է տիրում եւ ինչ արժեքներ են քարոզվում, իրականության ու դրա հեռանկարների ինչպիսի աղճատված ու երեւակայական ընկալումներ կան: Շատ պարզ ու հասկանալի հայտարարում եմ. մեր զինված ուժերը՝ մեր հավաքական պատիվն ու արժանապատվությունը, շարունակելու են իրենց պատրաստվածությամբ, սպառազինությամբ ու մարտական անգերազանցելի ոգով հակառակորդին պարտադրել խաղաղություն, եթե, Աստված մի արասցե, դրա անհրաժեշտությունը կրկին լինի:
Թող ոչ ոք չկասկածի՝ աշխարհում հատուկենտ ժողովուրդներ կան, որ գիտեն խաղաղության գինն այնպես, ինչպես մենք: Կրկին, թող ոչ ոք չկասկածի, մենք ժողովուրդ ենք, ում արժանապատվությունը առուծախի առարկա չէ, ում անհնար է սպառնալիքով մղել քայլերի, որ հակոտնյա է մեր արժանապատվությանն ու արդար զգացումին, նաեւ միջազգային իրավունքի նորմերին:
