Մեր երկրում ամենաշատ քննարկվող թեմաներից մեկը, թերևս, օտարերկրյան ներդրումներն են և դրանց կարևորությունը տնտեսության զարգացման համար: Այդ ներդրումների համար լուրջ աղբյուր կարող են հանդիսանալ սփյուռքում գործունեություն ծավալող հայ բիզնեսմենները, որոնց հետ, սակայն, այս տարիներին կարելի է ասել ոչ մի համակարգված աշխատանք չի տարվել: Իհարկե, այդ գործարարներից ոմանք ներդրումներ արել են ՀՀ-ում, բայց դա եղել է նրանց հայրենասիրության դրսևորման, այլ ոչ թե ներդրումային միջավայի գրավչության կամ համակարգված աշխատանքի արդյունք:

Վերոնշյալ ներդրումների և դրանց աղբյուների մասին շատ լավ ինֆորմացված են նաև գործադիրում և հենց դա էլ հիմք հանդիսացավ նախաձեռնելու «Հայաստանի ներդրողների ակումբ»-ը, որի բացումը եղավ վերջերս ՀՀ վարչապետ Կարեն Կարապետյանի և Ռուսաստանի Դաշնության հայկական սփյուռքի 3 տասնյակից ավելի գործարարների մասնակցությամբ: Այս կառույցի առաջին կարևոր նշանակությունը այն պետք է համարել, որ լուրջ քայլ է կատարվում համակարգված, Հայաստանի իշխանությունների հետ գործակցված, խոշոր ներդրումային ծրագրեր մշակելու և մեր երկրում կյանքի կոչելու համար:

Կարևոր են նաև այն ոլորտները, որտեղ պատրաստվում են գործունեություն ծավալել նորաստեղծ կառույցի անդամները՝ էներգետիկա, այդ թվում՝ այլընտրանքային էներգիայի արտադրություն, էներգետիկ և զբոսաշրջային ենթակառուցվածքներ, հանքարդյունաբերություն, հանքանյութի վերամշակում, սննդի և թեթև արդյունաբերություն: Թերևս սրանք այն ճյուղերն են, որոնց զարգացումը հիմք կստեղծի երկրի տնտեսական զարգացման համար և կապահովի մեծ թվով աշխատատեղեր:
