«Ժողովուրդ» օրաթերթը գրում է.
«Փաստ է, որ 2008թ. մարտի 1-ի ոճրագործության արդյունքում իշխանության եկած անձինք չեն բացահայտի ու պատասխանատվության չեն ենթարկի այդ հանցագործության մեղավորներին: Բայց իշխանությունները փորձում են ցույց տալ, թե այդ ուղղությամբ անում են քայլեր, առավել եւս, որ քրեական գործի նախաքննությունն ավարտված չէ:
Երբ ՀՀ գլխավոր դատախազ Արթուր Դավթյանն ԱԺ-ում իր ընտրության ժամանակ ելույթ էր ունենում, հրապարակավ խոստացավ, որ մարտի 1-ի գործը կլինի իր ծրագրային առաջնահերթություններից մեկը: «Ժողովուրդ» օրաթերթը ՀՀ գլխավոր դատախազից հետաքրքրվել է, թե ի՞նչ է արվում այս քրեական գործով: Պատասխանը, խոստովանենք, այնքան էլ հուսադրող չէ: «Նախաքննության արդյունավետության նկատառումներից ելնելով՝ 10 անձի մահվան եւ 3 անձի մարմնական վնասվածքներ ստանալու փաստերով առանձին վարույթներ են առանձնացվել, որոնցով կատարվում է նախաքննություն: Մասնավորապես նշված քրեական գործերով հարցաքննվել են շուրջ 4000 անձինք, տուժող են ճանաչվել ոստիկանության 220 աշխատակից եւ զինծառայող, 58 քաղաքացիական անձ, նշանակվել են դատաբժշկական, դատաձգաբանական եւ դատահետքաբանական համալիր, դատակենսաբանական, համակարգչատեխնիկական եւ այլ 800-ից ավելի փորձաքննություններ, կատարվել են դեպքի վայրի զննություններ, մեղավոր անձանց ինքնությունը պարզելու եւ նրանց հայտնաբերելու նպատակով տրվել են բազմաթիվ հանձնարարություններ, ու ձեռնարկվել են մի շարք օպերատիվ-հետախուզական միջոցառումներ: Գործի համար նշանակություն ունեցող մի շարք հարցերի կապակցությամբ պարզաբանումներ ստանալու նպատակով փորձաքննություններ են նշանակվել նաեւ ՌԴ ներքին գործերի նախարարության «Հատուկ տեխնիկա եւ կապ» գիտաարտադրական միավորումում եւ «Փորձաքրեագիտական կենտրոնում»»:
Պարզ չէ՝ թվարկված գործողությունները, այդ թվում՝ հարցաքննություններն ու փորձաքննությունները վերջե՞րս են արվել, թե՞ նախաքննության առաջին օրվանից սկսած: Բայց փաստը մնում է փաստ, որ իշխանությունները շահագրգռված չեն բացահայտելու կատարվածը, այլապես վաղուց այն արած կլինեին: Մինչ այդ, նկատենք, որ ԱԺ ընտրություններին մասնակից ուժերից միայն «Կոնգրես-ՀԺԿ», «Ելք» դաշինքները, «Ազատ դեմոկրատներ» կուսակցությունն են նախընտրական ծրագրում մարտի 1-ի գործի բացահայտման խոստում տվել: Մնացածների համար մեր նորագույն պատմության այս արյունալի էջը փակված է»:
