Մեզանից շատերը նստած ժամանակ ոտքը ոտքին են գցում, երբեմն դա անում են ինքնաբերաբար և դարձնում սովորություն:

Ժամեր շարունակ ոտքը ոտքին գցած նստելը կարող է բերել այնպիսի տհաճ հետևանքների, ինչպիսին է փոքր սրունքոսկրի նյարդերի կաթվածը կամ ուղղակի կաթվածը: Այս ամենը վերաբերում է նաև երկար ժամանակ նույն դիրքում նստելուն: Պարզվում է` առողջական նման խնդիրներ առաջացնում է նաև ոտքերը խաչելը:
Ոտքը ոտքին գցած երկար նստելն առաջացնում է արյան ճնշման բարձրացում. երբ մենք մի ոտքը դնում եք մյուս ոտքի ծնկին, տեղի է ունենում ավելորդ ծանրաբեռնում անոթների վրա, և ավելի մեծ քանակությամբ արյուն է հասնում սիրտ, ինչի հետևանքով ճնշումը կտրուկ տատանվում է:
Ոտքը ոտքին գցած նստելը նաև մեծ սթրես է կոնք-ազդրային հոդի համար: Այն կարող է առաջացնել արյան կանգ ոտքերում, երբ երակները սեղմված են: Սա կարող է պայմաններ ստեղծել ոտքերի ստորին հատվածի երակների բորբոքման, և, հավանաբար, նաև թրոմբոզի առաջացման համար:
Խուսափեք ոտքը ոտքին գցած 10-15 րոպեից ավել նստելուց, իսկ յուրաքանչյուր 30 րոպեն մեկ կանգնեք ոտքի և քայլեք:
